Not the one to complain about Comps or anything here...  well not much anyway...lol

This comp is for US residents only....  I can understand if the prize is for a trip there, but for Wgt Credits...   Surely you can't be serious!.

    This is so Wrong Wgt.

I see your point mantis. I just read this post, and thought what the hell is he talking about? I then went straight to the free stroke play games, and saw what it is. It seems the only games to be worthy nowadays is for American and Canadian players only. And not only that, but you need to have bought the dearest equipment as well. Nuff said.

If anyone has a disagreement with this statement, then show us the last tournament where it says only European members can play and win. Surely if it costs so much to organise an American game where the members can win a game on a certain course, then it cant be too difficult to organise a game on a European course also? Even if it is only for credits.

Yep, i haven't beaten an American player in a long time. Nothing against Us folks here, as i know a load of them, and i am fortunate to know them as well.  But it seems i cant win a game for love nor money. just ask my clubmates.

I don't think there been a comp like that.  Actually there was a English only comp once.

I totaly agree too...  Australia falls into the Asian region I think...  Euro/Asian or whatever like that would be great

Changing Flags is easy to do and has been done before, I know....   but I couldn't do it.

As I said before...  I can understand if the prize is a golf trip in the US, but for Wgt credits, my goodness.... It has made my blood boil....lol

This is so Wrong, wrong, wrong and wrong again.....lol

Yep, maybe understandable that WGT would hold a tourny where only US citizens can win a game on an actual golf course. It makes sense to do it that way. But when you make it for US citizens only, to win credits, then what does that tell you? We are only interested in letting US members win?

I understand members from outside the US would be upset by not being allowed to play for the credits in this tourney. I looked at the Tourney rules and it's Sponsored by an US sporting goods Company named "Dick's Sporting Goods". I suppose they are the ones who would want only US members to benefit from their sponsoring this Tourney. I don't know for sure but this company has over 500 Store locations in the US. I think they may only do business in the States so that could be a reason they're having this play out in this manner. No consolation for the non-US members but thought I'd pass along what I could.

also, it could be a fishing trip to find folks who flip flags for dishonest gains.  like a mole hunt from Mission Impossible :) - never tried it but see it all the time - if it's not possible as I think I just read above, perhaps a trace signal is sent at the mere attempt?

    take caution

Yes,  your correct.  I knew this and just checked out their Web Site, not sure of prices but it looked pretty good.  Orders for only US and Canadian buyers.

This would have been the perfect opportunity for them to go global with their Web Sales.
