    YankeeAirPirate:
Again, in REAL golf (USGA, not necessarily PGA) a player might buy a sleeve of Pro V-1 balls at the pro shop for a round of golf. And believe it or not, a sleeve of Pro V-1s might be ll he could afford at the time. Somewhere after the turn, the last of the Pro-V1s is lost.  In the ball pouch are shag balls, found Pink Ladies and some other "decent" golf balls. The current system at WGT equates to forcing you to use the dead, cut up old shag balls. So, tell me. How does that square with REAL golf?
In real golf, you pay for attire, driving to the course, greenfee or annual subscription, cart etc. Would you like this here, too, to make the game more realistic? To me, the balls are a flexible green fee - enough realism in that field.

And, it's easy for a person to dig in his bag and choose another ball. Here, it's a bit more complicated, coding for a game interruption with views of the inventory, alas with special conditions: Don't change a club, it's against the rules. Add a timer in a MP game...

You see, it's easier to block the whole inventory during a game and leave it to the player to keep enough stock in his bag. BTW: Different to real golf, you may visit the Pro Shop at all times and buy a sleeve. It will add to the balls in play automatically if only it fits.

    And: paragraphs!

    Sheep + people = sheeple.

It's a term (along with shill) used by the hard of thinking to describe those of us who don't believe in deranged conspiracy theories.

It's a term (along with shill) used by the hard of thinking to describe those of us who don't believe in deranged conspiracy theories.

It's a term (quite a bit more innocent than shill) that describes the ovine behavior of those who would contend that bending over, grasping their ankles and bleating "Please be gentle" is as much of a defensive posture their jelly spine will permit. Sort of like the Torries during the American Revolution, which is see according to your flag you may very well identify with.

Shill, on the other hand, is a well-worn tactic of company employees posing as players in the forums for the sake of singing the praises of their master, WGT.

Anyone who believes that businesses should not be challenged over player/customer satisfaction issues is probably one or the other. Only true conspiracy theorists believe that corporate greed, supported by sheep-like player acquiescence,  is a myth. Businesses, like WGT, need to hear squeaky wheels to know where to apply the lube. No squeak, proceed apace with the rape.

And if a legitimate complaint, like expensive ball life somewhat paralleling that of a bottle rocket, gains a critical mass in squeak so that the bottom line on that ol' profit margin starts to dip even ever so slightly, it'll get fixed. Not until then. No deranged conspiracy theory, that, PaulTon -- that's business as it has been done for centuries. Apologies if that was just over your head.

    WGT shills

Somebody learned a new word today and is trying to use it in a sentence 1000 times as a part of his homework?

posting in from a socialist-communist country where one doesn't dare try to improve their environment

Those countries (most of them) were almost the only ones who actually DID something to improve their environment in the past 25 years. Other countries elected W. for a second term, soooooo.....

And speaking of communism, your talk of pressing the company with facebook campaigns, etc., would get you branded as one in your own country not that long ago, when people in my country (don't get fooled by my flag, I live in one of the former soc-coms) already had unions and other leverages to get what they wanted.

I think Jimbog's (and Alosso's) reply to you in this thread

    225528.aspx?PageIndex=2

says it all, but if that's not enough, I could get you some more cheese (you know why).

    Cheers,

    Matt

P.S.: You have every right to complain about things you think are unfair. And I have every right to say you're a whiner ;-)

Lol, I seem to have touched a sore one there. At least read the post well enough to see I'm NOT from the UK, before you start with your rant. Jeez (shaking my head)

Not the environment we were talking about and I said former soc-com countries, not current ones (well, they have "democratic dictatorship" in Russia now, I suppose).

As for W., you have your opinion, I have mine. Neither of us will change it and that's fine by me.
