    Yes ... I didn't change the link.

Thanks for bringing that up, Jay!

My current wind settings.....   and I'm still fidling around with it, when I get a chance.

    Headwind  ... 70

    Tailwind  ... 45

    Crosswind  ..1.8

I use the R11 Irons and the L90 Rzn Nikes.

What I've noticed is....  the settings might have to be changed for each course.

The Links courses... St.A and Rsg...  the wind on those affects the ball more than the same wind on other courses.....   and Oly is a totally different subject....lol.

I also think....  my settings won't suit others because of different clubs and golf balls, but as a starting point for you to tweak....  it might be ok.

    Headwind  ... 70

    Tailwind  ...50

    Crosswind  ..0.8

I use the level 97 Nike V Forgerd Irons ans Level 61 slow meter Nike ball

Cross wind is where I am still tweaking the most. I have never been happy with it. But Kat's calculator is a great tool for any and all players of any ability.

    Very simular settings B.

I noticed a good way of tweaking the settings....  If you have the time.

If your approach shot goes too long or short...wide etc.  before you putt, change the settings and recalculate ...  eg;   shot stops 15ft too short.....   go to settings and change the figures...   recalculate...  until you stumble on a setting that would carry the ball that extra distance to hole.

Some players might enjoy a little help to calculate, others can do It in their head or play with feel, why are players so quick to disregard or bad-mouth peoples efforts (earlier in thread).  I wont use a shot calculator but If some one has put the effort in to create one and offers It to others that player should be applauded not try and pick holes or disrespect that player.  Ask yourself, what have I done to help this community instead??  I'm glad every one apart from a couple have shown D KAt the respect and generous support she deserves.  Its good to see a thread without the usual arguing and name calling.  D kat I will send you any club you want just name It, just a token of appreciation for your efforts for others.

    Hi Kat,

Being a relative newcomer to wtg Id be very interested in trying out your calculator, but have no idea how to obtain the link. Also the answer to 1 question: How on earth do you play out of "mulch" ? I had this pleasure last week & it ruined an otherwise good round.Any tips on that WOULD BE WELCOMED.

    Regards,

    Derbal Wardrin.

I haven't gotten much dissin' ... only a couple that felt programmers shoudl be naturals in this game.  Lots of my stats have gone in the crapper since I started testing this program ... and the broken hand hasn't helped.

To those that have posted positive responses and to those that have sent me messages telling me how it has helped their game ... thanks.  I do appreciate your words of encouragement!  In time I hope it becomes more of a caddie than a calculator.

Very nice offer from someone that isn't using the calculator!  Can't really think of any club I need though.
