Thanks everyone for your time and contributions.....even clap happy above.  It was useful to see someone exposing themselves as a liar and attempted character taker.

I've gone as far as I can with this issue on WGT....this post will now die a sad slow death....is that a cheer I hear before me?   :-)

"This is not noticeable with putting, but when the player starts their shots, usually it takes no more than 5 or 6 seconds for the shot from when the swing starts.  With a meter cheat the shot takes longer, 12+seconds With the menu box open during the shot, from when the swing starts, the words 'flicker'.

This will also happen if the player lets the meter run through once like many players do. We all know that the meter is smoother on the 2nd time down.

This will also occur if the player holds the meter at the top of the swing for a few seconds before releasing.

So in my opinion, this method of catching a cheat is an utter pile of rubbish.

'Attempted character taker.'  Doesn't even make sense, how could someone 'take' your character. You can keep your character lad, it is soiled.

You made a racist post on my wall and then denied doing it.

I have toyed with you long enough, you are now off my radar. Goodbye dear heart.

I'm also not a programmer - I do have a pretty decent background in working with Flash though, I know what it is capable of, limitations within a given scope and know how powerful AS can be in the right hands of skilled coders.

Just as I thought, dedbuNNy. I left that question out purposely because I was waiting on a response from you as well. So, you don't think WGT employs skilled AS2/3 coders?

@ Dubfore, have you read dedbuNNY's statement?  You obviously have no idea what goes into the design of this game, or software in general, beyond what someone has told you, or why WGT chose this platform as their preferred delivery medium.

Be sure to send his excerpt to Mr. Prata @ WGT as well. I'm sure the COO will find the same humor in your email as I have in your thread.

    Have a pleasant day gentlemen.

    @ Dazza - Exactly.

@ PaulTon - Maybe some eye-pal is in order here...trollolololol

Correct, and I never claimed I did.  Dedbunny can answer for himself, but his posts for me where some of the most to the point and sensible that I read.

I didn't claim that 'method' for catching a meter cheat was accurate.

Laugh all you want with your pompous opinions and attempted put downs

The laugh is on the honest WGT members and it's the owners of  WGT who are laughing, all the way to the bank.  Their bottom and top line is the dollar, they even sink low enough to advertise Game Cheat programs on a golf game website.   Assuming they have some, do they rear their children to cheat also?

Professional golf, one of the few professional sports that is 99.99999% cheat free.

    I'm done here.

I'm not a programmer by defintion, I don't code C++ or C# etc.. I stopped working with AS just as 2 was brought into the mix. I do however have a long history with Flash, since the Director days and I still do some design with CS6 but not on day to day basis.

So, you don't think WGT employs skilled AS2/3 coders?

Not what I said, anyone who codes usable assets has skillz. Coding functional Flash assets is one thing, ensuring that they're condition locked and  secured against manipulation from a program such as CE is quite another. In my opinion, from what I've seen over the years, it's somewhat of a  specialty  in itself.

While I don't work with AS anymore I do have colleagues who do on a daily basis in their jobs.

And in case it's on your mind, yes I do think Flash is a dead tech and will be gone in the near future. ;)

My pompous opinions (as you refer to them) come from my education in CompSci/AI/Robotics at MIT and as a Software Architect at Adobe, Dubfore.

So, I may know a thing or two about what I allude to...just maybe. Definitely more-so than you or your pal dedbunny.

With that out of the way....what else do you or him have to say?

As far as Fl becoming a dead technology...I doubt that very seriously.

    ^^This! as well as...

    dedBuNNy:
I don't know what the rationale is for using this type of swing meter, as I said it's the weakest part of the game by far and if they didn't have deviation and VEM running then Perfect Meter would have killed the game a long time ago because it did what it was designed to do as well, manipulate a game asset. Only it was done outside the browser, adjusting timing delay. And why was it dead on if setup right?

I found this detailed knowledge of PM quite impressive given PM hasn't been discussed in any detail for ages and dedBuNNy only joined in Oct. 2013!

    Dubfore:
That reads brilliant Dedbunny, did you pass this info to WGT?

Never answered by dedBuNNy!  But it appears TeacHa could have preempted dedBuNNy in this post:

    TeacHa:

I've already figured out a way that'll stop the flash/meter cheat and e-mailed WGT the suggestion, they are currently seeing if thats possible to implement (which I think it is).

Don't wanna get closer into it for now, I'm hoping that it'll be possible for them to implement it and that they'll use it, our problem will be pretty much gone. (not that I see it as a big issue, don't know who or how many use it but also don't really care about those sub-humans)

But alas, we'll never know.  TeacHa is no longer on WGT as it appears he has been gone since Sept. 2013!

Now, for the record since this thread is supposedly done as announced by Dubfore:

Know that originally there was not one thread started by Dubfore, but 3 IDENTICAL threads started by Dubfore.

Know that in all 3 threads Dubfore mistakenly called out by name a player as a multi-accounter.  Dubfore wrote:  "So *********** is a multi accounter.   I'm typing words as they appear in my brain. Farcical, irritating, puzzling, annoying, laughable etc etc...."

He used this player as an example of a cheat.  As he also wrongly did in another thread here.

Know that in one of those 3 threads members took Dubfore to task for wrongly accusing that player as a cheat as the player was invited by WGT to play in a closed, private, WGT tournament for business associates.  The word that came to my mind when I read his mistake was "numpty".  And I posted that.

Know that Dubfore's response to being taken to task on his mistake was many fold:

    • He ignored the evidence on the thread
    • He made flaming, name calling, wall posts to members who dared to challenge him.
    • He made disparaging posts wherever he could about those members.
    • He conveniently had WGT delete 2 of the 3 original threads he posted

Know that he made sure the thread was deleted where the evidence was brought forward proving his assertion wrong.

Know that the original post on this thread was also slyly edited by Dumbfore to remove the false accusation.

And with no post by Dumfore apologizing for his false accusation.

Know that by making all this noise about Cheats, Dubfore has once again brought the names of the cheat software to the forefront of the forum.  Thus educating whole classes of newbs who had never heard of these things!

    More harm than good IMO.
