    I agree here with Fat.

If we can only have 1 time..make it 60.

I play most of my shots inside 15 seconds, but every so often I get a meter burp or a shot I need to take more time on.

Nonsense, Phil. Golf is also a social affair, and many of us enjoy chatting & playing in an unhurried atmosphere. There's enough hurry and stress in real life.

(Personally, I would preferably disable all timers in the rounds I host myself. Because I'm comfortable that the friends I play with wouldn't intentionally take undue time to take their shots. TWO does give this option to disable timers if the host wishes to do that, and WGT should make this possible as well. Implementing all these various shot-clock options should be pretty easy for WGT.com to arrange, from the software programmers' point of view.)

45 or 60 are good.  30 shouldn't be an option.

For real man....I don't know who's ideal this was in the first place. This is not pool.....30 seconds in pool maybe. But golf is a more complicated game and takes more time to figure out how to make the shot.. 45 or 60 would be the standard time time to make a thoughful shot. If it take you 90 seconds to make a shot maybe you should be playing pool. And 30 seconds is crazy for all shots....maybe to drive the ball but thats all.

I play pretty fast but the 30 second timer makes it a game in which you just hit your shot and can't line up options.  It also does away with any conversation since you are worried you will not have time to play.  Can we come up with 45 or 50 second clock if we need another option.

Options are the answer, let the host choose. 90 secs is too long IMHO but other players have different ideas. All good, if we can have a 30sec option, how hard would it be to add 45 and 60 sec options to that ?  Then just like Blizzard you can make everybody happy.

If you want to always do it in 45 seconds, you shouldn't be playing.  It should be a chance to meet someone and to talk a little now and then.   I would rather have a 2 minute opportunity to ask a question and have it answered, even though it probably wouldn't take 2 minutes. Seven holes out of 9, I would probably take my shot in 30 seconds, but I would like to feel that a little conversation makes the game a lot more interesting, and the opportunity should be there.

When you start a game and invite someone to play with you, if you want him to keep his mouth shut and just play the game, use the 30 second option, and I will choose not to play with you.

If I start a game with a 2 minute opportunity, you can decline my invitation.

Out of curiosity, how many of you play a round of golf on Saturday morning and demand complete silence from your playing partners?
