  Nope. This is not how golf is meant to be. I've played this course (mind you over a decade ago) and the greens are not this difficult. These are just ridiculous. Completely ridiculous. Beyond ridiculous even.

  I disagree. You may have played the course but I would bet it was not just before or after a professional tournament.

  My course is a championship course and the greens are usually pretty easy, but the week after a professional tournament the greens are suddenly like playing on glass. They are cut so tight, what was an easy putt becomes treacherous.

  I have also played many top courses around the world and usually the greens are not set up for a tournament, so are much easier than in a major competition.

  The other thing to note is the green speed is Championship  (albeit a bit slower than the norm for WGT) and you are probably not used to this speed.

  Now as WGT try and simulate the conditions for the US Open, I assume they have got this pretty close.

  For what it's worth, I didn't mind the green speed. I managed to squeak a 72 out of the round shooting for the middle of the greens. I expect green speeds to be 14 stamp meter. Thanks for the new course.

  instead of going for birdie all the time....and ending up with a bogey.....play safe and take par.

  Seen the course before and know there are lots of slopes. Easy to say "take par" when you shoot a 57 on it. Birdies are needed to qualify, and I agree that most of the greens are bang on and take time learning. However, there are some slopes that are unrealistic (possibly because of how hard it is to emulate them) like Hole 18 that I mentioned, and a couple others which are not effected as much because of the pin locations. Even making par can be a challenge on some holes, like #4 as well.

  But you won't come close to the cut line that way, Either way you lose unless you get some luck going

  cut line so far is only -12....6 birds out....6 birds in. that's only a 66% birdie ratio over 18 holes.....with 6 pars being made over the course.
