+1 This is the type of forward thinking and ideas that might improve the system w/out changing the payout scale.  The one thing that e1 seems to agree on is that the rake is too darn much.  Good idea sarak!

    sarak362336:

Keep them as they are but Anyone who fails to post a score for a Rg gets a 48 hour exclusion from all Rgs.  This would concentrate the mind and hopefully improve turnover times.

Sorry but that is a really bad idea.   When people withdraw it benefits everyone that doesn't.   It certainly would not make RGs turn over faster, quite the opposite actually.

Sry , I agree with BB wd does benefit everyone that doesn't and has no effect on turnover whatsoever.  What I was agreeing with was her idea of trying to come up with new solutions and different ideas to try an help w/o adjusting the payout  scale.  No one is going to be happy with whatever wgt determines the payout scale to be there will always be dissenters in the bunch.  The last thing that wgt will change is the rake that in my mind is the constant variable in this equation.

It is somewhat amusing that we keep talking about how the highest rated and best players keep showing up at the top of the ready go leader board.

Lou is right, it was much easier to earn money on ready go tournaments a year or so ago, I kept a log and average 1.9X for almost a year in playing them.  Today I'm pretty much at break even on them.

In terms of the high dollar ready goes, well look at the $ list for the real PGA, it's seems to be made up of the best players so should it be a shock that the best players on WGT are the players who consistently win .... I wouldn't think so.

I'm for a lower WGT rake but that won't change the top of the leaderboard in the high $ ready go tournaments.
