Anything you can do to stick it to the sandbaggers and multi-accounter's who dominate the low tier RG's is a good idea in my book.. You'd definitely get more newbies to play if they thought they had a shot at the purse. MHO, of course..

If you don`t play well you should not collect.

No reason why you should take away credits from players who play well.

It`s hard to make a profit how it currently is

If WGT reduces there rake they take and gave 5% of that back then they can use that to pay extra places, leave it as it is.

    +1 mate

WGT wants to give out credits to more spots..... no problem. Take it out of their rake. :)

WGT should take less of a cut to make below 2nd through 4th more worth while.

I say less of a cut, but that's a moot point with the cost of balls.

I choose option 4 where rake is reduced to 10% or 15% :)

Edit  - Didn't do the math to see if that is accurate, but something like this would be nice.

    Option 4:

    Winner:  15%

    2nd:  10%

    3rd:  7.5%

    4th:  6.25%

    16th – 20th: 2.0%

    26-30th 1%

    +1

    DAZZA501:

Leave it the same as it is now. It's hard enough to make a profit as it is without giving credits to more places.

Ready go's are how most players pay for balls. The ball price gets higher yet you want to lower how much the winners get. You've already taken away the high stakes RG's. Drop the payouts and nobody will play them at all.

P.S. Sam's option 4 sounds very good indeed. Take 10% away from wgt's rake and share it out amongst 31st-35th

    totally agree with u Dazza

I vote for this as well, with some tweaks, of course, so it won't add up to 106,25%, as it does now. Maybe make it:

    1st : 15%

    2nd : 10%

    3rd : 8,25%

    4th: 6,75%

    5th-10th: 5%

    11th-15th: 3%

    16th-30th: 1%

    Now that's a round 100 ;-)

P.S.: IMO it would be better if the prizes would stop at 20th or maybe 25th, just so the better scores could really be rewarded, but if we're stuck with 30 places in the money...

this topic should've been about brackets,
only top 4 get paid, while IMO should be top 8

Leave it alone unless you want to reduce your rake. Leave everything alone & repair multi player disconnections first. Whatever you do, make sure you don't screw something else up.

Your site is slow loading this morning & that's another new problem, one I have not experienced before. Does wgt ever reinvest any of their profits back into this game?
