"WGT Error With The Game"...Immediate Help Needed!!!

  hi

  I would recommend trying another browser and be inside the game window and accept invites from there. Once you try 1-2 other browsers, please post your results/screenshots if they are available.

  Only wanting to help , IE worked for me at first . I used others and Maxthon3 seemed to be the best for me Thats all I ment .

  Thank you for finally saying something toward my problem...I know you are very busy and I'm not the only one with issues.

  However, as I previously stated, this problem is not in any way, shape or form caused by my choice of browser!  This issue arose today after over 120 consecutive days of play with not one single problem throughout using what I've always used...IE. 

  I contacted Customer Support on this and am waiting to hear back from them.

  opy, I know you were only trying to help and my question of why I should change what has always worked, was not meant to be taken as anything but a rhetorical question.

  Believe me, if the best WGT can/will do about this is suggest trying a different browser, then I'm up the proverbial s**t creek because that is not the problem (how many times must I say this?)!   

  Should not be up to me to fix or adjust to their issues!

  Agree it isn't ideal having to do some troubleshooting/optimization on the user end for a good experience, but that has always been the case on WGT.  When I got my win8 machine last year I spent hours and hours trying different combinations of browsers and flash versions and other tweaks to the PC in order to get gameplay to an acceptable level.  Even with all that being said it's still the only game in my life I've spent 5+ years playing, so that has to say something about WGT...

  Hope you find a solution.

  A lot of the " Old timers " here in WGT land will say IE is only good to download another Browser .

  One other thing you might try , Run a Disk Clean on your computer .

  Ok everyone (including and especially WGT), I just used my Advanced Remote Tech Service.  They took control of my computer and, after explaining the issue, and seeing it for themselves, determined it is...

  WGT SERVER'S PROBLEM...NOT MINE IN ANY WAY,SHAPE OR FORM!!!

  So WGT...will you please fix this or are you going to do nothing for me?  Sending the same info to Customer Support right now.  And how is it that I can sign in and forum post but not be able to play?  And why am I defaulted to "guest" status after every attempt to "Play Now" no matter what setting I start with?

  Forgot to mention that, at my suggestion, they downloaded Google Chrome, accessed the game thru it and encountered the exact same error as with my IE.  So it isn't IE causing this (which I already knew).

  So I cannot play at all until WGT fixes this.  All I can do is wait for them to act within my lifetime.

  And yes, I cleaned and formatted my disc.

  It is 6:50 A.M. PST, I am only minutes out of bed, and somehow, I'm now magically able to "Play Now". 

  As I first stated, I had played two previous rounds and was into a third at Pinehurst when I got errored out.  When I just now hit "Play Now", a page came up saying I had not returned to the game in time and it was therefore over.  So this entire time, WGT server's were stuck waiting on my returning to that game.

  Magic or time heals all.  Regardless, It is fixed.

  DONT NO WHATS UP WGT BUT JUST BEEN UNABLE TO FINISH 2 ALT  GAMES JEW TO ERROR  WINDOW POPING UP ON PLAYERS NOT JUST ME ON THERE SHOTS BUT WHAT I HVE NOTICED THE GAMEWORKS FINE IN SINGE PLAY AND METER IS FINE BUT IN ALT SHOT METREI IS JUMPY STAGGERED I HOPE IT IS  BEIN LOOKED  AT PAST WEEK HAS BEEN A NIGHTMARE ?

  Had this same problem over last couple of hours.
  
  ( previous multi player game crashed with "unexpected error - close window etc.." , every attempt to get back into game screen , different browsers etc ... same "unexpected error...close window".. tried getting invited... same thing.
  
  When the game screen opens it looks like its trying to re-connect me to a game that no longer exists , then gives me the "unexpected error.. close window.. try later"
  
  THIS IS WHAT WORKED TO FIX IT FOR ME
  
  when the game screen opens , click on the menu at the top left of the screen BEFORE the browser has chance to jump to its default error message.
  
  I'm not actually sure if it was the small menu or large "MAIN MENU" which comes up since I was clicking on both, but whichever it was , it cleared the bad loop to the error screen & took me to the menu.
