Pigs fly in Thailand, u see it all the time.

The mentality of Thai people and those in charge of things is very very different to the rest of the world. After over 12 years here, I am still not sure I fully understand their thinking.

But, anyways, there are many fine championship golf courses here that would feature very nicely on WGT.

The owner of Singha Beer ( Boon Rawd ) has built 3 courses, one in Chiang Rai where I live, Khon Kaen near the Laos border, and on Koh Samui, an island in the south.

He is the type of forward thinking person who would welcome a wider audience to both his beer and golf  through WGT.

Singha Beer was the first Thai beer that gained an export licence. It has now been overtaken by Chang, but nonetheless still hugely popular.

We also have the son of a very rich belgium Royal family that have ownership of I think the biggest beer brewing company in the world living here. Stella Artois is one brand that comes under their control, but there are many others too.

U think u r buying a Lexus, no ur not, it is a Toyota.

More to the point John - how far would you like that pig to fly sir?

Having spent 10 years of my life in Asia, you soon discover anything is possible.

I used to go to Thailand frequently as it was cheap to play golf there in comparison to Hong Kong and China. Some great courses that would not be out of place on here.

But if WGT did introduce one of the Thai Golf Courses, can they also introduce the Golfers Massage?

But throughout Asia are some brilliant courses and many would relish the publicity that this game would bring.

But then again one could say that of many countries around the globe where struggling golf clubs would love that sort of exposure.

But this is US Golf Tour now, so we can only live in false hope that one day..............oh wait we players are going to talk the course manager into phoning Chad - until he sees the price of the call LMAO.

I am sorry Admin2, you are yanking a very long chain by pretending that by players going to their local clubs they will improve the chances of it being on WGT

Ahhh, but you can't get your faced slapped unless you ask, Al. You might get slapped a lot but you'll eventually get what you're asking for.  :-)

Mr.WGT is  making  so much money now why would he spend the money to go abroad and film a new course? Will it increase his revenue?       I think not. I don't think you are going to see anything new except US Opens. Maybe if some overseas course.pays for filming and travel he might give us something besides a par three putt putt course.

Those attempting should be confident that their course suits to our Tour Legends. I.e. there should be tees for advanced Tour Pros available.

No chance for any average muni with men's tees of 6,500 yds.

I agree Paul, only certain courses would qualify. A couple of years ago I spoke the a couple of board members at the club I am a member of in Sydney (currently non-playing as I am in NZ) - they candidly said no to any thoughts of WGT. Partly it is reasonably prestigious and this would demean this and partly due to the scoring mockery it would make.

Just a tad under 6300 metres (6900 yards), par 72 and the back 9 water is in play most holes (front not as much water but still no cakewalk. So theoretically, still tough. However I too would not want to see someone carding scores in the 50s which is what would happen.

I agree Jim, you have to expect to get some slapping when you ask, and the key in a sales role is to ignore those slappins and keep on smillin, the doors will finally open if you are persistent.

BUT as Richard pointed out, this is not up to the punters to do - this is up to Chad and his WGT sales/marketing team.

It is the same as me knocking on the doors of every airline in the world and pleading for them to buy Boeings rather than Airbus - but not having any authority to actually facilitate a sale.

Don't get me wrong, Admin2 seemingly has the right intentions but he clearly has no understanding of how a business runs. We are not in the playground now where peer pressure may influence, a business noes not get "donations" from its customers to stay afloat, and if he had bother to research the forums he would have got answers to the inane questions he has asked.

WGT has its own agenda, whether we like it or not, but by asking leading questions it only takes one person to agree, and this is their mandate to implement that change regardless of other opinions.

Finally Admin2, this is not an attack directly at you, they are my views based not only on past failings of the moderators, but more specifically the failing of the company and the diabolical management style where corporate greed overrides the actual product.

If I have personally insulted you, I apologise, but I stand by the sentiment of what I have said

The moderators and the community ultimately have the same goal - to make the WGT experience better for everyone, but neither party has any real input in where the company is headed. This needs strong management skills, that sadly appears to be missing.

PS Johnny - that was funny - and very persuasive

Hey WGTAdmin2 (or anyone else from WGT),

Is there any plans to change how the courses are rated?

I play real golf in the US, and when I get a scorecard, I've yet to see 4 1/2 dots telling me the course is difficult.  Instead, I get this course rating that says something like 71.5 from the whites, which tells me a scratch golfer should shoot a 71 or 72 from that tee box. (I wonder where the dots came from ... does the R&A rate their courses with dots?  How many dots are on a Royal St. George scorecard?)

It seems logical that you would change the course ratings, since WGT removed the dots on the balls and clubs.  Maybe put a course rating on your courses ... not something as goofy as 4.5, but something a bit more realistic (like an average number our tour legends should shoot from the selected tee box).  I know you have the data.  Will you take the time to rate your courses?

I do not know the time frame for the courses and extra hole locations.

...ask the lads in the office across the way from you......
