    k88ss:
I have played a long time and it seems that when I get close to the level I need to buy the driver I want, you raise the level needed to buy it.

Happened to me, missed out on the old special offer for the level 93 R1 driver...but hey, continued on with the level 86 R11 driver (didn't lose any sleep over it)...until I got the level 89 SLDR Driver when I was @ lvl 92 instead of waiting out for the level 94 R11s driver, won't be changing it.

Totally agree with Notonthis on the SLDR Driver...great club & it complements the R11 irons with approach distance...can hang with those with the "superior" clubs currently out of my range.

You still have the choice of the level 89 SLDR Driver & level 90 TM R11 iron set... the level 94 R11s driver is still there if you search in 'Brands'.

    :-)

    TDSLIMIT:
They are stuck in there own little worlds.   And stuck constantly playing alone.  because the 1st thing I do when I see one of those 54 AVG  cheats  I just kick them from my game.

So how can they be stuck in their own world if they are attempting to play with you in a multi-player game? Who is stuck in their own paranoid world refusing to play anyone that has more ability than yourself?

This golf game is a challenge and winning over someone that has superior  talent and equipment is very enjoyable. Losing to them is a learning  experience. It is a matter of what you take away from playing it..

It amazes me that every time someone at a lower level asks about upgrading to a driver that will help them get a shorter club in their hands for approaches, pretty much the same gang responds, with the same line.  Basically saying, use an inferior driver than they all have- ( Courtney- special offer lvl93 R1----- Fatdan-- Lvl 100 Nike Covert--- MainzMan--- lvl 93 special offer R1--- and ScottHope--- Lvl 94 TM.

With all due respect to all 4 of these respected posters, why is it that when someone wants what you have, you tell them to sharpen up their approaches, short game, and putting, and that don't need what you have?  My question is then, why aren't all of you using a driver that doesn't have as good of distance capabilities as the ones that you have.  Looks to me like the same old playing field that's tilted their way.  The OP's question is not out of the question IMHO, and by no means am I trying to disrespect anyone of the 4 that I just mentioned, or anyone for that matter. Just posing a reasonable question, for the sake of informative discussion.

Shoot low-- keep the faith--- Peace Ed

The driver I have now (R11s) compared to the Ping G20 level 81 that I had previously, has not improved my game, if anything it has made it worse. Although I can get slightly more distance from the R11s, I am missing more fairways due to the slightly higher meter speed. But I am going to stick with the R11s because I am determined to master it but I don't consider it a recommendable choice, considering what else is available.

What else are we supposed to tell someone who does not have access to the driver we use?  I'd love to able to say get the R1 but there's little point when that person is not L98 yet.  And you can't blame us for getting the best gear available to us at our level surely?   The suggestion to get the SLDR was a very, very good one as it happens.  My R1 has been outdriven by that thing several times.

My original point was that WGT have not moved all those drivers listed out of reach, only one ever was (just about) in reach, the others were always the same high level they are now.  The OP appeared to believe they were once all available at a lower level than they are today.  This is simply not true.

    k88ss:
I have been playing this game since 2009.

    k88ss:
I have played a long time

Mate you joined in 2009, and so then the definition of playing a long times gets subjective in this case.  Basically you joined in in 2009, and played intermittently.  Not going to bother with the math, but clearly you missed out on several consecutive day streaks by failing to log in, and spend 2 minutes doing one hole via community link.

You are fully armed to easily get to TL as it stands with what you have.  I therefore assume it's simply a case of wanting the extra toy shop trip, and fair enough to recommend it be lowered as your opinion.

Worth pointing out though you would be the first to see any meaningful impact of scores compared to what is already available to you.  It just never has/don't work like that, and different thinking is cloud cuckoo land.  Not saying you do think that but some are under that delusion*.

Personally I think WGT do need to shake things up.  Either lower the availability of the 287 yard stuff (EDIT: L94 / 95 maybe) or get funkier. Now getting funkier is not something for jam though.  Get TL put in 400 RRs (yes usually 500 save one or three anomalies no clue on) then the next 100 get a say 57 on a mixture of most courses and champ tier, and toy shop opened a little early. Different threads on that particular discussion.

Wish you luck a special toy shop offer comes along although score wise never been a difference (compared to what is long since available at L92) except n the minds of a few of those that do not have it .  I would think about that 1 hole more often though if you decide to hang around.

    *EDIT 2:

    k88ss:
before I can purchase a new driver that would help make me competitive.

I missed this bit, and so take it back about you not being one of those.  Your statement is quite ridiculous.

Because that's the truth. Either cry and moan about what you don't have and can't get or suck it up and do the best with what you have.

What kind of silliness is this? Obviously because we put in the time and leveled up and don't have to. There's at least 5 drivers the OP can get that will improve on what he has and be quite sufficient to compete until he levels up.

Don't even bother trying to find reason there, there is absolutely none.

If I may poach from Paul Ton, this is another thread that just became very TeDiouS.

LOL. I'm waiting for that glitch nonsense to show up so I can show him how, in our match at CCC, your 93 and my 98 were never more than 5 yards apart off the tee.  7 drives in all and I think we broke even on the distance off the tee. Same ball, too.   :-)

In my previous CC I was messaged by a TL who told me about that practice round glitch that allowed you to beat your brains against the wall and level up quickly.  (although it was no more than outright cheating your way up to better equipment, IMHO)  Myself I chose to do things the honest way, then thanked him but said I thought it was an unethical way to go about leveling up.Just the way I was raised I guess. Possibly the OP's also another honest fellow that didn't take advantage of an unfair advantage to buy better gear.
