In the past years, the course that was released for stroke play for U.S. Virtual Open, you just press create game twice, you can play the course on stroke play on single player. This year, it's different, you can't do that, and your forced to play the course with a group/multiplayer, and if you quit, you automatically forfeit, and you can't go back and replay the round from single player. The only way you can play Pinehurst #2 single player is to play the U.S. Virtual Open, which I can't play anymore since it says I forfeited. The real U.S. Open is already over, and has ended, and usually when the U.S. Open has ended, the Virtual Open already has ended, and when it has ended, we could play the course any way we want from the stroke play menu. Well the U.S. Open has ended, and can't still play the course from the stroke play menu. Is there any way we can play Pinehurst #2 single player? Please make Pinehurst #2 available for stroke play from stroke play menu, and for single player. We don't have time to play round with a group. C'mon, the U.S. Open is already over, you should make it available for stroke play from the stroke play menu already.

There is a back door again this year to play the course in single player either practice rounds or ranked.

    Play Now

    Stroke Play

    Pinehurst #2 Course

    Create a group(under Experience Pinehurst)

    Stroke Play(under Select Game Type)

Change the Course from Random to Pinehurst TWICE then leave it on Random

    Click Green Change Game Mode

    Click Stroke Play again

Change the course from Random to Pinehurst.

Now you can play Pinehurst  like all the other courses. Practice or Ranked Stroke play, 18, 9 hole front or back as a single player.

    Go kill it! ;)

P.S. The VUSO qualifier is unlimited play so you should be able to start, quit and re-start all you want until June 30th. You can't have forfeited.

The qualifier is unlimited play, can't be forfeited, only re-started.  Until the VUSO is finished I think that's your only option.

edit:  Well there ya go, CD is your backdoor man.

    :-)

I just copied and pasted what I read here on the message board a couple of weeks ago.

It doesn't work I tried it, I can't play the qualifier, it says that I forfeited the tournament, and can't play.

Something's wrong there.  Email customer service, they should be able to straighten it out.

Are you trying to play the VUSO qualifier from the Game Client or from the Tournaments drop menu at the top of the page? If you know how to take screen shots, please take one and post it here where it's telling you that you've  forfeited. Any unlimited Play Tourney should be able to be played any amount of times even if we don't complete the previous attempt. I always enter and play tourneys from the Game Client menu after clicking on Play Now.

Also, did you try the back door entry to playing Pinehurst as I wrote it above? If you follow it exactly, it'll work.  I'm trying to get you onto Pinehurst as best as I can in the manner you want to play it. I also prefer to play alone for speed so finding that entry to Pinehurst has been very nice.

You rock! I've been wanting to play this by myself for a while now, and it worked!

    Thank you :-)

p.s.- can see what I was doing wrong lately when I tried to set up an alternate game also on this course and it would take me elsewhere…:)

Random doesn't pop up no more when you change course, it just stays at Pinehurst #2, is there another way we can play Pinehurst #2 stroke play single player?

Set up a tournament in your CC - it has been released with the recent update.
