Pass me a gun quick. Was -12 on the 16th had damn headwind so had to use wood, pressed a fraction early (unusual for me with wood) and landed in bunker, ended up bogeying so another chance blown. And during that round i had even hit tree on 13 and managed to get back on track with a par, Well at least i will know every inch of the course if i do qualify.

This will be my 4th Open, I have no thoughts of illusion, thinking I'll win.

But, last year I set my first goal...to be in the top 50...but fell short.

That will be my goal this year as well.

There's too many solid and consistent players to think this will be like 1 in 20 RG's you (me actually) can win.

So what you you be doing there if you qual?

Set a goal and try to achieve it:)

Thats why i have just switched straight back to the 3.5 spin nike's so i hope it wont happen again

Change the way you're thinking on that approach. Instead of trying to stop it use top spin and run up. Clubbing down helps, the key is to run it up. If you're short you're still in a good place.

I was -7 on front birdied 10,11 got exactly the same as i have last round on 12 where dinged shot started off at pin not where i moved marker, another par, any way i was -11 at 14th i PARRED 15, and headwind on 16 so had no chance of birdie and thought here we go, but i birdied 17 to give me more FALSE HOPE, -12 on 18 & i have 161 yard approach on 18 with awkward direction wind and end up doing this due to my nerves: DAMN WGT:

I don't get it unless you posted the wrong replay. That one shows an excellent up. Was there a problem with the gimme after that? LOL

I was joking...Had to show replay of my last shot with the pressure of qualifying all on that approach. .Damn WGT, at last they've let me qualify (so far) All i wanted to do was shout...YES!!!!!!!
