  Chris do you actually believe WGT favors certain players?  Maybe it is a case of certain players win all the time because they are the best players.

  +1 Agreed Boomer.

  Anybody who thinks this game is fixed, rigged, VEM'ed, etc,,etc,,for "certain players" to win are just completely frustrated with there own ability and or skill to score low enough to win, PERIOD.

  The players who play this game on a regular basis, with top of the line equipment and gb's and practice their asses off are the players who score low enough to win. Let me stress the point - these are the players who "SCORE LOW ENOUGH" to win.

  My understanding of how the game works is the better you play the harder it is to score good. Makes sense if you guys are doing well in RG's and then it all falls apart.  As far as certain players winning all the time you would have to see how many RG's they enter and how many WD's they have. Also in any game you are going to have a certain % of players at the top that are the very best at the game.

  On another note, and to get this thread back on the subject of the Virtual U.S. Open ... it's now just past 5 p.m. CST in the usa, and there are 58 players (if there were only 253 that qualified), yet to post a score. So there is 9 hours left to post your first round score. I would say that roughly 15 people will not even card a score, for whatever  reason. Anyone else care to take a guess at the number of non-posters?

  It'll be higher, at least double that...some will just not have the time, and I don't think the WD's will show as WD...until later rounds..so between WD's and those not able to play...40 maybe?

  Wow ... I just thought about that , and if that level of non-posting becomes a trend, then only slightly over 100 players will even finish the Championship. I'll take a wild guess and say, on the high side, about 175 to complete all four rounds.

  Maybe...maybe...with like 200 or so qualed in previous years, I'd bet 25% never did both rounds...maybe even higher.

  Now over 4 rounds...that number (IMO) will grow...I'd be surprised to see 150 players post up all 4 rounds.

  As a regular player of RG's, I agree with this.  It does seem to me that when I have a really low round in an RG (which is maybe one out of 10 entries), I can count on getting no breaks the next time I play it... it's usually 2 things... bad wind direction and lipped out putts.  I played Whistler last week and shot in the mid 50's... the next time I was -9 thru 10 and made no birdies the last 8 holes...mainly deviations, where I thought I hit the right shot but somehow was 15 feet from the hole, followed by a near miss with the putter.  

  Exhibit #5,322,234... Whistler #2... 15 mph tail wind (naturally), I hit the driver at about 70% (it's an uphill shot!) and it goes 300 yards into the water... of course it does...
