    PETERGEORGE1:

To be fair the dates have been known for the past 2 months, never going to please everyone.

Too true. There's also the interest factor. Drag something like this out and it gets lost in the shuffle. I just wish there was some way to follow daily events other than trekking to the LB. As it is, this thread is fun to follow. TY to those that give us plebes a look.  ;-)

The timescale is a bit ridiculous for this, It's July so people are away on holiday...

I've shot a 56 in R1 but I'll be away and miss R2. At least make them a week each and run them between weeks so people have a chance.

What appears to be happening here is the beta testing of the "look-ahead' VEM.  WGT can actually predict when each and every one of us will be on vacation, and schedule important events, just during those days.

I left 4 putts on the lip in the opening holes that I thought had plenty steam in them to get there.

What a COINCIDENCE, i scored a 61 but also had 4 birdie putts which stopped INCHES from dropping.  fast greens what a load of false advertising lol, they're standard at best, one hole my 5 foot birdie putt hit with EIGHT FEET power came up short.  What i noticed when my birdie putts were online to drop they would come up short, but if they were going wide they would go past the hole.  I call it score manipulation, others can call it what they want.  But watch every one who has scores low this round will struggle next round and the ones with 60+ will be ALLOWED to score SUB 60.  Used to see it happening in Country club 4 round tournaments, so will probably be similar in US open.  There's probably a few lucky players (also with skill thrown into the mix ) who will get deviation free rounds on top who are going to get low scores all 4 rounds but the rest of us un-chosen ones will probably get mixed rounds.

But in fairness, this is the best Virtual Open yet because tghe unlimited round does not count towards any score, and we get 4 rounds of single play so anything can happen though. Nice one WGT and good luck in round 2 all

    This I can agree with.

Wish I would have hit reply before you edited your post, LOL. I'm not a lawyer, but, given the amount of 'money' being wagered and gambled on this site, by people from all over the world, I have to imagine there would be serious legal issues that would have bit WGT by now if everyone was not competing on a level playing field (aside from random winds). On the other hand... maybe the fact that credits are not money, and cannot be cashed out for real money, opened some legal loopholes that are being exploited ;)

But your spending real money for the credits, and those credits can go toward gift cards which have a real dollar value.

I do agree it is like gambling with a stacked deck so to speak. It would be very interesting to hear an attorneys view on this. I just might look into it

Who knows a class action may pop up

You have to admit Jim they control every aspect of the game and its performance.

    Just saying

Yes but I think you only have a case if you can prove that your game is being manipulated while others aren't.  Whenever you enter a tournament someone wins, technically WGT fulfils their side of the contract and pays out the promised credits.

Baloney. They control the parameters you play under but they sure as hell don't give 2 hoots what your score is. That's a product of your efforts.
