ScottHope:Just had another try because I thought the Chrome memory usage on the previous one was way too low, looks more realistic now.
I actually caught a glimpse of your original image..... man that had me a tad worried.
Still think my Chrome data is way too high - I have a few extensions added though - maybe that would explain those high numbers?
Cheers for replying Scott - exactly the type of response I was after.

Just looked, I still boot from XP to play and Firefox uses 1/2 the resources chrome does...about 40%...
edit: didn't have game client up sorry....firefox using a little over 1/2 the resources (55%)
I'm fine with Chrome, Dan. Tried various browsers and Chrome suits my needs best...... ( I'm an ole fart and loathe to change.)
Thanks for trying to help anyhoos.

You can get a free version of advanced system care . It comes with a turbo boost that will let you turn off all back ground running programs , with the click of a button . Its what I use and it works great . It also helps to keep the meter smooth . You can get it from c net which is a secure site for down loads . Hope this helps . :-)
Hi Lonnie,
I'm aware of ASC and other similar software.
I don't really suffer too much from problems with meter etc. When I do I have 'Gamebooster' (same company as ASC) and CC Cleaner waiting in the wings to use as and when required - GB automatically closes unnecessary programs etc as and when required.
Cheers.

Main reason for me posting was because I've sifted through all services etc - switching off those not required and the Chrome numbers seem too high still.
I'm using Window 7 (64bit version) with a dual core processor. Having 'Googled' advice I'm now wondering if that's actually contributing to the high usage? My lay-man's understanding was that the 'dual' part sped everything up.... from what I've read that may not be the case and it could be contributing to the high numbers?
Any tech gurus any thoughts? I'm willing to post whatever data is required to try to cut the Chrome usage down.
