    PaulTon:
There's a reason why we never hear nonsense about VEM or manipulation from players of this calibre.

Here's my thoughts on why top players never are affected by VEM

Per the patent, VEM comes into play when the program detects a change in skill level above a certain threshold.  Skill level goes up, VEM makes the game harder.  Skill level down, VEM makes the game easier.

However it measures your skill level, some math formula in the program combines all the elements and generates a number and that's our skill level.

For the sake of discussion let's say VEM is adjusted every 9 holes, and one of the elements measured is greens in regulation.  The range of that measure is finite, from 0 to 9.  It has a maximum.

It follows that all the elements used to determine our skill levels have minimums and maximums.

Therefore, there is a minimum and maximum number for our skill level.

For VEM to interfere with a top players game and make it harder their skill level must increase above a certain level.

I contend the top players are maxed out or nearly maxed out on all the elements.  They are at or near the highest skill level which makes it impossible for them to exceed the threshold.

The bottom line is since they can't get any better, they are at the highest skill level, VEM can't make the game harder for them.

    Fire away!

Andy, this is what I have thought for a long time......to the top players the vem is at max , and to them this is the norm :-) ....

    That's probably most accurate description I've seen/read.
