Has any thought been given to allowing for access to some or all the owners tools to a selected member to help the owner.  Or run it if he/she gets sick or goes on vacation with transferring ownership....Co-Owner

    Thx

Our CC - UK Golfers Elite - is run by a group of 5. We created a separate, non playing entity,  and transferred ownership to them. We all have the password, so any one of us can log in as "owner" and do whatever needs doing.

It's not the most elegant solution, but it does work well, and until WGT gives us genuine shared ownership, it's about as good as you're going to get I think.

Co-ownership is on it's way. Or so i've been told. Just details of exactly what the co-owner will be able/allowed to do is what is being worked out.

Sounds like a good development, now all I need are volunteers.

It definitely is.  However to start it will be only one other player.  It will also most likely be a slow roll out to make sure we can give the co-owner the right tools to help out in the club.

Please make sure you set these as an "either/or" choice by the owner.  If the owner wants to give all rights to a member, they both should have equal rights.  Don't make it to where if the owner gives rights to a member, they no longer have those rights.  (I can see your programmers doing something like this!)

Have your programmers set it up like "network rights" ... with options to allow or disallow features.

That's the plan.  Only the owner can approve a co-owner.  The owner still will have ultimate control over the club and all features.

Sounds like a step in the right direction then :-)

However, (and this may already of happened), can you please actually ASK owners what they want, rather than just deciding what you THINK they want - the two may be somewhat different ;-)

One problem that happened to us, a good while back, was when our then current CC owner simply went off radar for months. No one knew what had happened to him. As it happened, he had simply lost interest, but had he "gone under a bus" or something equally terminal, there was simply no way the CC could be transferred to someone else. In this unfortunate, but realistic scenario, the CC would have been left in limbo, with no way to do anything, and it would eventually wither and die. So, the ability for WGT to transfer ownership under certain circumstances would be high on my list.
