Since my CTTH skills are lacking, this may be of no use to anyone.

These are my preliminary notes of the new challenge (results will vary):

    Nike 85s / ball: USGA Play9  dis.- 2.5. spin - 2,

[information has not been completely confirmed]

    Valhalla CTTH

    #1 134y, up 2ft

2 bunkers guard the front edge, green plays uphill

    #2 166y, down 7ft

'the island' water hazards, 'be accurate' it says, thanks! green has a slope before it

    #3 30yd, up 5ft

    short game with sand between

    #4 178yd, up 3ft

water on the left edge, pin placement near the front green

(I needed more 'uumph' with the front wind. I fell short and hit the FW)

    #5 132yd, up 26ft

    #6 60yds, up 5 inches

    surrounded by water

    #7 168yds, up 2 ft

    sand on the right

(I went too long on this shot)

    #8 179y, up 21ft

With some wind, my 4I bounced early on the slight cant with 3/4 BS and into rough

    #9 Putt

    99ft, up 2 inches

    v. fast green speed

    I had tailwind

I need to aim more left that I initially thought, slope near hole took me right & rolled by,

Next time I will try about 75 ft of power, depending on the wind

    edit:

Next Next time I will try about 79+ ft of power, depending on the wind

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------

    again, individual results will vary

    p.s. great scenery, visually aesthetic

    Thanks WGT

Valhalla is a Lovely course, I agree.   I wish Wgt had the full stroke play course.

First time I tried the CTTH, I got 249.95, then got 100.83, only missing one green - was on the fringe.

    Nice FD.  I'll add:

Playing with RSi and 33 Callaway Soft Ball

    1.  Plays to 131.  Ideally try to land ball 1-2F left of pin and let slight slope kick ball towards pin (even with wind coming from right to left.

    2.  Plays to 164.

    3.  With Cleveland Wedges use a 64W wedge with full b/s at 62% (8-11+ taliwind) to 66% (8-11+ headwind).  W/out clevelands I suggest ussing a 64W (rated at 60Y) and add +7Y full b/s into headwind and +6Y full b/s into tailwind.  Should get you withing 1.5Feet worst case every shot.

    4.  Plays to 174.  Landing ball slightly short and to the right will allow ball to roll nicely to hole (I holed this shot out and posted to wall).

    5.  Plays to 131 but impossible to land pin high.  Also, anything right auto downhill.  Landing ball 5-9F above and slightly left of hole is best chance to get it close.

    6.  Add +2Y.

    7.  Plays to 166.

    8.  Plays to 174.  Anything right goes way down hill and ends up 25F + away.  Wanna land 1-2Y left of pin/short and allow to roll to hole.

    9.  With 100F putt scale use 70% with trail wind (no wind, or side wind) and 72.5% with head wind.  Hit very slight early Ding with either shot.  Aim point and result (2.5F or under most cases)

Edit:  Here's a link to the actual putt (wind blew it a bit off-line):  http://www.wgt.com/replay.aspx?ID=2a2d0818-fed7-46bf-980b-a4eb014bbe1c

The cursed hole!! I have played:

Top spin, punch top spin, half top spin punch and full, flat, back spin full-3/5, 4/5...i have tried everything!!

    A joke...

Please someone explain to me how a shot with full top spin goes 5 inches from the hole...i repeat, 5 inches from the hole and after 7 seconds you see it parked at 10 ft. A friend of mine assures me that using the TM irons not having this strange roll (he's also legend). Note that every other green speed except champ is working as it should. Lastly, i have tried the stroke with all kind of balls. Always the same thing.

    A joke...

LoL ;).  Yep.  That hole and 7/31 updates are making it very hard to get any decent scores.  I was expecting to shoot high 20s or low 30s for this challenge because 4 of the holes it's very easy to get within 1-2Feet.  Oh well  =/.  Really, just leaves 5, 8 and sometimes 4 and 7 to get pretty close.  Forget which hole I'm missing but it must not be too bad lol.

It slopes down hill from the hole. I just played my best round so far. 67.39 good so far for 71st place. On number 5 my shot landed about 5 feet or so short kicked forward toward the hole, lipped out and ended up 12 feet from the hole after it rolled back down the slope. It might be best to hit about 2 or 3 yards past the pin and let it trickle back down to the pin. Had it not been for the bad luck on  that hole my score would have been mid 50's.
