    WGTicon:
Then, there is also timing and wind issues, where one can adjust for others shot, which would make it unfair.

I don't understand this, not in this context anyway.. Could someone break it down for me?

I would say as far as talking out shots ish( but me and friends do that anyway so no big deal there)

Yeah, I don't see anything wrong with that.. a lot of things are unfair around here anyway.

LOL Well if the tournie ( mulitiplayer that is ) was for credits and we are both playing and I hit a 7 with 3/4 bs and 1 ft from the hole and my playing partner wants to know what i just hit ......sure I'll let em know (yeah rite)

But a free one who really cares

Yeah, I got you.. But in my dream world, haha, the credit tourney's you wouldn't be paired with your friends or CC members (ppl you'd help), you'd be paired with random players until the later rounds and then the pairings would be chosen by scores.. also not your friends (unless you got lucky). I don't think I'd help anyone out if I was competing against them for credits.. :)

    hi guys

I hear you but I still think it's same.  We often have 100's of players in tournaments, especially free/unlimited ones, but the fact remains that when you play with a partner, you get reads on shots that you otherwise wouldn't.

when it comes to tournaments, it's an individual game.

this is why we have other mp modes when you can share shot info and discuss strategy.

Thank you for the clear and thoughtful explanation, Icon!

Forced pairings suffer from time constraints - who is available when, which tempo does he prefer - and others: What about restarts, WDs, disconnections and the odd mad chatter?

Me thinks that only friends would have a chance to get through a round, and then Rule 8, Advice, comes in effect.

I don't really see why, you would get who is available as with other multi player games. Select clock and rank too, disconnects etc you can finish alone.  Also if the con's outweigh the positives for you don't take that option, I think the suggestion is multi-player available in some tournaments not compulsory.

I do see that advice is a problem and to introduce something that gives an obvious route to cheating would be silly.

Wonder if the occasional tournament could work with two players and 45sec or 30sec clocks, there would be no time for advice to influence shots.  A fast clock tournament could be fun anyway and maybe the slowing down the meter programmes (if they really are out there) may not work in 30sec either.

    Just like real golf right?

LOL the only thing i want is CC  multiplayer tournies ( Don't care about WGT tournies)

Example go to the club click play a tournie then add a friend that's online then they can join or decline pretty simple idea

    totally agree with you spdemon.

if playing with someone in a real golf round ,,you see what happened dont you ?

so why would it be cheating or gaining an advantage here if its same as real life ???

fact is most of the players in WGT want the option of multi player tournaments

because its more FUN ,,Fun is why most of us play & playing alone is just plain BORING !!!!

alt shot & skins games are the most FUN on here & thats why I play those mostly

sure would be FUN to play with my friends & others in Tournaments Also
