The Ryder Cup 2014 will take place from 25Sep-28Sep at the Gleneagles GC in Perthshire Scotland.

This famous course is up there with the best of them and would make an excellent addition to WGT's selection.

    keep Gleneagles on the wishlist

that's the idea. It's not the first time it's been mentioned and won't be the last. Just hope to get more people supporting this thread :)

As for WGT's timeline on rolling out new courses etc that is a mystery only MisterWGT knows.

A  WGT tie in with the Ryder cup would be magnificent, won't happen but we can dream of those courses every two years.

They managed to bang out a CTTH for Celtic Manor back in 2010 (and that would have been a great stroke-play course), but I'm guessing they shot it when they were over doing RSG for the following year's Open Championship. Highly doubt they've been "across the pond" since then, so I think everyone's right in saying Gleneagles is wishful thinking.

Looking forward to watching them play Gleaneagles (always like the European Ryder set-ups), and will be dreaming of playing them on WGT too.

Wgt is an American company so going to Europe to take thousands of photos to make a virtual golf course seems totally impossible. I would also like to see a Ryder cup golf course so maybe wgt could work on the courses in USA.

It's so impossible that they did it twice!

Besides costs, it may be a problem to convince traditionalist boards to become part of an internet game.

you can shoot it down and say it'll never happen but WGT are always working on adding new courses (though obviously their time frame will often be longer than most players have patience for).

I would prefer for commenters to just add their +1's if they would like to see Gleneagles added :)

    Gladly, +1

Any course worldwide which has the format ("Tiger-proof") is welcome!

From Scotland, also Royal Aberdeen and Castle Stuart come to my mind, and I'd welcome a chance to break 100 on Carnasty, at least with my avatar.
