Following on from a previous thread (with currently 142 replies) I want to bring WGT's attention back to flags.

I appreciate all the small improvements that crop up after an update but there is still one thing I notice hasn't been addressed. Flags.

On the 13th May 2014 in response to that thread Shoe said:

We are looking to add more flag options to the game. We are discussing which ones and how quick we can do it. Just wanted to give you all a update.

So I wanted to reintroduce this thread in a positive way and kindly request for WGT to work something out.

Currently the flag is associated with a player's contact information:

As a person's nationality is not determined by either contact address or billing information, I would suggest that the flag should be disassociated from contact and/or billing info, though players would still have to give that information accurately to WGT.

Instead I would propose that players could select the flag of their nationality in the profile under 'appearance'. It might look something like this:

Secondly, as the United Kingdom is not a country, I would like to (once again) request the introduction of flags for the following countries:

England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland (as used by players of those countries in all major golf tournaments where nations are represented).

    Thank you.

Good One PR - this topic deserves to be revisited and resolved.

I like the idea of choosing a flag as per your suggestion above - it would have nothing to do with prizes, right of entry to a tourney or where you actually live as it is for aesthetics only.

I would choose my Aussie flag anyway, but when I travel, maybe I could adopt another flag for a day lol.

I agree that it is absurd to say your country is the United KIngdom - do some homework WGT!

Surely WGT have the programmers capable of making these changes without screwing up unduly. I am positive if they could have made a buck out of the flags, it would have been done a long time ago.

    Hear, hear!

I like the idea of separating flag and legislation, to the benefit of all UK countries, US states(?) and expats present - I know a few.

How does this sound to you:

"Buy a custom flag to your liking - today's deal ... credits"

(maybe 400 in the accessories, ?000 in the Elite section)

As another option, each player might be enabled to upload "his" flag as a part of his appearance(?)

Excellently put PR, here's hoping your positive ask brings a positive outcome.

That doesn't sound ideal although it does sound a lot more likely. Saying that though, provided it wasn't silly money i'd probably pay for this "privelege"

Anyway, hope WGT are listening and can finally resolve this issue, surely it wouldn't take too much to do?

Isn't it true that happy customers spend more? win-win.

    +1 PR

Not asking for anything any RL leaderboards don't do, and yes one asks how hard can it be.

Still in the meantime we did get CLAPPING, and then the work involved to then get it out of the way must have taken time......

Give these people their flags, or give a reason why you are you are refusing.

For the life of me, i just don't understand WGT's refusal on this issue. Ridiculous. It's almost like they are afraid to give the reason why they aren't doing it.
