    Udo1:
Cheating was possible, no offense to the winner, they just found it out early enough

There was nothing wrong with playing an unrelated CTTH course at the time a 9-hole clash event was underway, but they should certainly expect points erroneously added to the clash event to be removed.

i have a better idea    because  wgt  wont  do anything  about this  problem   w/cheaters

im from BALLBUSTERS CC      INFACT    THE  OWNER  OF  IT ,  WERE  SMALL   BUT  WE  DONT  CHEAT!!!!!!!!

I  SAY    ALL  CC'S   SHOULD  PUT A BAN   ON  BUYING  EQUIPMENT     UNTIL   WGT   REMOVES  THE  CHEATERS   (AUGUSTA CC)  AND  WHOEVER ELSE    CHEATED

FROM    WGT    FOR  GOOD,    TEACH  EVERYONE           NOT  TO  CHEAT.....

IF  NOT    WHY  SHOULD WE WASTE OUR  MONEY      AND  GIVE IT  TO  WGT

    alosso:

    WGTadmin:
Also, we know there was an issue in the system where playing a game outside of a Clash would earn points for your club if it was involved in a Clash. Although this behavior was not intended it was not against the rules.

Honestly? This can only be true while ignoring your own rules like the company does more than once.

    The rules (= FAQs) state

Members score points by playing well in the specified game type(s) on the featured course(s) during the Clash.

    and

Compete in a Club Game by clicking the Play Game button on the Club Event main page.

Putting CTTH was not the specified game type, and I severely doubt that the Putting CTTH was accessible this way, thus these points were apparently gathered breaking the written rules.

The company ignores this, the company shows the level of trust they deserve.

IMHO, WGT designed the game poorly to allow this unfair outcome, and the winning CC failed to show sportsmanship by using the loophole and accepting the undeserved win.

    Pfui to both!

The members and owner of that CC, along with EVERYONE at WGT should be ashamed of themselves. Unbelievable.

Yep... Crass and classless. Anyone associated with that win (CC) who actually thinks they won anything.

    [ ..i., ] There's your real prize.

WGT just gave the green light to any and all forms of manipulation and cheating.

As if it wasn't bad enough before, you just blew up this game in one foul swoop.

I've read a lot of this thread, but not all. It would seem that there is a consensus for restricting the number of games that can be played by each individual CC. I totally agree with this as, right now, the clubs with the most players and the big bucks are going to wipe the floor every time - hardly a fair outcome.

Hopefully, WGT will address the problem and come up with a sensible solution.

I like the format and really enjoyed playing in the first round - even though it cost a lot of credits to buy the passes.

    DodgyPutter:
I only looked at this to see who won the putter, I still don't know after checking about ten pages.

    +1

Who did win (use of) the putter?

owner of the CC gets the putter, then can determine who in their club it gets awarded to. How bout cashing it in and spreading the 400,000 credit among the members?
