    WGTadmin:

playing a game outside of a Clash would earn points for your club if it was involved in a Clash. Although this behavior was not intended it was not against the rules.

This is the biggest pile of bullshite I've ever heard.  Did your fingers not burn typing that?  Hell you guys must be on commission based on the number of passes sold during a clash.

They cheated.   Certain members within Augusta National CC cheated their way to the win and stole the top prize.   I wonder how many credits were spend by the next 2 clubs buying passes in an attempt to keep up with those scumbags.   Enjoy your putter.  You earned it didn't you?

Just because it isn't against the rules doesn't make it right but then that seems to be the WGT policy when it comes to moral judgements, both their own and players.

I can only imagine how angry the members of the 2nd place club must be right now.  I doubt you're going to see many credits bought by any of them from now on.  I seriously doubt anyone in our club will buy a pass ever again.

Hmmm...I actually thought that online scams originated in Nigeria.

Apparently Chad is now the biggest producer of scams.

I'm disgusted by the way this has turned out.  Do the decent thing and either scrap the whole thing, refunding all credits spent on passes and removing all the prizes or give the top prize to the second place club, assuming nobody there used that putting cheat.

Total joke, our club didn't finish the 3 clashes until there were 5 and half hours left, so we could not play the fourth clash, got to sit on the sidelines and watch club after club pass us by. Also having to buy a pass to play and then the xps are even less than I you played just a regular nine hole ranked round, what a ripoff. Plus playing a round in the middle of the night when almost all members are in bed is pretty silly don't you think? We played are 3rd clash and I think the team we played had ) points. I feel like my dumb ass wasted a lot of time and spent far too many 37 creds at a time for nothing.

Well done, WGT.  Vince McMahon couldn't have scripted it better.

It took guts for that Club to receive the gold putter. They now have a black eye to match WGTs.

I definitely have a whole new outlook on WGT and the way they conduct business.

Nobody I know at Eagle Club that would do that man....  Keep the stupid putter, according to Courtney it isn't much anyway, wear it like the Scarlet Letter that it wil be, whatever. All I want is a  refund for the credits and balls wasted for all of us that hammered that thing -- THE RIGHT WAY -- to try and win it. As for the time wasted -- well that was my own and I dumbly devoted it to this "mission".

haha yep. I just don't understand how i can start the clash 0-1.. did they assign my club to a clash without me knowing or approving, so they could easily beat me? Not sure what that's all about.. but then i get on and play 4 straight rounds on St. Andrews and get my club up in one clash, and i have no idea how i did against the club. Did everyone start 0-1 or something besides these "super clubs" that are mentioned as CC of the week, which is basically saying they're all bum kissers..

Also, we know there was an issue in the system where playing a game outside of a Clash would earn points for your club if it was involved in a Clash. Although this behavior was not intended it was not against the rules.

Honestly? This can only be true while ignoring your own rules like the company does more than once.

    The rules (= FAQs) state

Members score points by playing well in the specified game type(s) on the featured course(s) during the Clash.

    and

Compete in a Club Game by clicking the Play Game button on the Club Event main page.

Putting CTTH was not the specified game type, and I severely doubt that the Putting CTTH was accessible this way, thus these points were apparently gathered breaking the written rules.

The company ignores this, the company shows the level of trust they deserve.

IMHO, WGT designed the game poorly to allow this unfair outcome, and the winning CC failed to show sportsmanship by using the loophole and accepting the undeserved win.

    Pfui to both!

    Hey WGTers,

WGT would like to thank you all for participating in the first CC vs CC event that ran for the past 24 hours. We know there are some kinks and issues to fix and we will be making those updates before another event is run.

Again, thank you for all of the feedback and forum posts.

    WGT

"we know there are some kinks"?  kinks are rubber body suits and feathers...what your company did was pure f***ery

In addition to awarding a CC who blatantly cheated first place, the biggest cheater of them all (59 rounds of Best of Putting during the clash) now has the gold putter. I am totally disgusted. Then, on top of that, WGT comes out and based on the post above, is saying that they won't award ALL the participants their earned free passes and boosts in direct contravention to their own published material. please read "ALL THE CLUB MEMBERS WHO PLAYED WILL GET...".

WGT will not get another penny out of me, EVER. I don't care what they come up with or "fix". They basically have come out and endorsed cheating. Oh, but WGT says it wasn't intended. My butt it wasn't intended. One of our club members saw a post from a member of Augusta National CC in this thread admitting they were buying up blocks of passes and giving them out to their members with the instructions to play the Best of Putting. Amazing how that post was deleted within about 10 minutes by the poster. But make no mistake, it was seen. Now, if that isn't intentional, I don't know what is. And the ironic part is, WGT should be able to prove all this but they don't seem to care one iota. This entire game is run by computers and servers. The actual shot by shot results in a game might not be traceable, but who played what, on what date, shot what, won what, earned what for a special event all should be in their computers. I wouldn't be surprised if that ghost post is retrievable also.

I know I may catch a lot of flack from WGT because of this post. Frankly, i don't care at this point. I am utterly disgusted by this whole thing and totally PISSED!
