I like part of the idea WGT but wow what a cash cow you guys cooked up. I'm sure you'll still be working on ways to improve the game but when there's big money to be made I guess that takes the spotlight.
So here's a few things: Since I woke up this morning I feel like WGT whacked me over the head with this thing. Someone in my club decided to start the clash and use a superpass I guess. So straight out of the gates I have to check the forums to find out about the whole CCvsCC thing. Perhaps it would have been smarter to tighten the default restrictions over who could start a Clash and who could use a Superpass to begin with.
Anyway it seems to have been poorly explained resulting in several pages of confusion.
It would probably be a good idea to have a clear definition of what everything is put in the FAQ's
One of my players played in the clash was awarded club points from a previous tournament and was able to play in the clash without a pass!
I have another player who wanted to help out our CC by getting in more than 1 round in the clash so he purchased a CC Pass an hour before his free pass was due. We all know what happens next.... that resets the time of his free pass back to 12 hours (another unpleasant surprise cooked up by WGT). I think many players will come to find out about that one soon enough if they haven't already.
It's obvious that the round and round we go method in order to win the clash is a way to get more players spending money to buy more passes. Afterall this is all about gambling.
One thing I don't like is that you can only play if you use a CC pass or Superpass (assuming a glitch doesn't give you a free ride). WGT could make enough money out of it by allowing players to play without a pass but earn significantly more points via the various passes.
Instead this could be divisive for clubs that see some players wanting to buy more passes and want more members to do the same while other members don't want to spend their money buying passes, which could cause a rift in the CC.
Lastly as previously mentioned, players can enter as many times as they want, so in the end the players with the deeper pockets are going to buy up the CC passes and it just comes down to who is willing to splash their cash to put down more points on the leaderboard.
Nice idea? I'm not sure but there's certainly a lot of room for improvement.
