    WGTdbloshoe:

    How about something like this:

    1) Give the club owner the ability to enter his club in a clash.

    WGTdbloshoe:
    1.  Not going to happen.

    just like that huh?

You all want answers, so I gave you the honest blunt answer.  Sorry.

However DB, I did see you make mention that Owners & Officers may have the option, instead of just the single owner.

That would be a nice step in the right direction.

YOu know, owners really do have the end say in this -- whether or not their members play, just announce that you will NOT award the putter if you do not want your club members to play -- take away that incentive and its pointless for them to play.

WGT's decisions are never about doing the 'right thing' they're about doing the 'most profitable thing' hence the short, direct response.

WGT wants as many clubs (players) to enter as possible. More entries mean more players wasting money on club passes. They don't care whether it goes against the wishes of the club owner or officers as long as someone clicks the button.

Someone posted something about cautioning or kicking members who entered their club (going against the club's position of not entering) and WGT responded. They don't want players penalized for entering clubs into the clash, they simply want clubs to enter regardless of what the owner/officers think because once that button is pushed it's all about $$$.

I agree with you guys that it would be a step in the right direction but it won't happen. The best an owner can do is add their support against the clash event by putting the name of their club on this thread.

Players who wish to join my club are briefed that we are not participating in any future clashes until it improves.

Another apparent issue which has come to light within our club is that the clashes tend to come and go , whilst all in Australia are sleeping..
So having any Aussie club in a clash with one based in the US for example would mean that the Aussies have a very limited window in which to play.

Our club is still in discussion on this however we will probably remove ourselves from the Clashes and will have a democratic vote to ban any member from entering any of them.

Since there is no level playing field, no choice to enter and no benefit ultimately to the club in using our free passes.

    This is true but,,,,

To ban players from playing is a little extreme. IF a player chooses to waste his/her hard earned money on a game that has no meaning what so ever, then so be it. But also let it be known to those players that they are supporting and contributing to a WGT game feature that NOBODY truly supports.

Lets face it, which ALL of us have, the Clashes are a debacle. There is 0 CC competition value and it is a complete waste of money for EVERYONE involved. The only thing the Clash is good for is pure WGT profit,,PERIOD. Nothing more, nothing less.

Just one question, where are the prices they should give us (that we won)
