After thinking about this , The Man might have a point .  You have to open a account and earn your way into WGT land .

I get your suggestion, but the game already unlocks at a new tier.  Your stated variances would just get in the way, and decrease any value / attraction.

no one was asking what you do each day or ?ing your ability to speak, just disagreeing with your points at every turn.  You still think they would work fine, just accept others do not been around the block or not.  Don't go assuming others spend lives here though any more than you ideas might work - how long do you think 5 or 6 9 hole RGs a day take in between stuff at work??  So maybe once again just more flawed logic from you...Cheers

EDIT: No way would I have appreciated and therefore been any more likely to but new equipment just because a course got unlocked.  The beauty of the game is learning all the courses as you go, and burning balls of course revenue wise.  Banging round 1 course would be boring at any stage, and would not have been for me.  Unlocking that and another at a higher tier? why in the leap of faith people might toddle of to the pro shop sooner to buy clubs, and that's assuming many play all courses anyway - big assumption.  Anyway like I say I disagree with your methodology, and would not have appreciated it being forced on me and don't see any need for change based on a few assumptions from just you.

No fixed rule even here, but for this lets agree new clubs are needed at master and then Legend just for this exercise away from how some may choose to enjoy themselves.  They are the only real jumps whichever way you go, and the only 2 times you "need" to think about an upgrade.

I could open it up even more but there is no point as you clearly just never even started to think any of through properly.

How many Tour Master, Legend, tour legend players do you encounter using starter clubs? Not many. Now how many level 90+ master and tour pro using starter gear do you see. Lots. That tells me that the perceived value of the equipment is less than what they are trying to sell it for. You can do two things to correct that. One, lower the cost of the equipment, or two, increase the value of the equipment. You should always try to increase value in business. That is what my suggestion is all about.

I see none of each because it's not my business what other people are doing. I just can't understand why I should care?

Currently there are some courses on here that you must spend a fee to play. Keep that for those that just want a one time play, but unlock those courses as you advance in tier so you no longer have to pay to play them. it is a perk for advancing.

You might write "Tru Golf" if you talk about them...

There's only on reply to this: Contracts. I understand that Tru Golf gets a share of the green fees - WGT won't take this as our bonus. Better players use the RGs to play these courses anyway.

If i want to play a game where I have to unlock courses.. I'll go back to the cartoon land of TWO where i can shoot -25 for every round. Just my opinion and i am entitled to it.

One thing worth noting, there are high level players who belong to low tiers, have good to excellent equipment, and do not play ranked rounds. What is the incentive today to try to lower an average when the only benefit is the bragging rights that go along with the TL tier.

Alright well you guys have thousands of posts on this forum. I'd like to hear the opinion of someone who is not a forum snob.

How does having a lot of posts on WGT's forums make someone a "forum snob"?

While on the subject -  WTF is a forum snob?

    LOL ! ! !

The only courses that are 'locked' are CTTH courses WGT doesn't have photographs of the entire golf course.

WGT did not make the 2 Tru Golf courses, and instead licenses them from Tru Golf.

I think if you unlocked courses as a reward for advancing, it would encourage players to spend money on the equipment.

How does this encourage spending on equipment? If you can advance and get courses opened with what you have what incentive is there to buy anything different?

    pcolapat:
Having to pay for each play on those courses is a bad idea.

"Those" courses are only 2 and are a result of WGT trying something in addition to what they have and paying for them per play is what it costs for the relationship they have with TruGolf. They're cartoons compared to the real thing.

    pcolapat:
If people are not buying equipment, than they are not going to pay to play on those courses either.

Where's the logic here? 50 credits to play a course versus $10, $20, $30 worth of equipment? Logic fails.

If post count is a measure of what you deem being a snob is then I guess I'm one hell of a snob but your idea just plain sucks. There's no thought to it and there's even less logic. And that is not ridicule, just my snobby opinion.
