I find this game very annoying.  On several occasions I have hit a club that is a 120 yd club perfectly and the ball travels less than 90 yards.  Making a choice as to which club to use is very difficult because of this.

Also I have never been able to put any spin on the ball even thought I hit the shot perfectly.

It seems that in order to compete in this game you have to pay to up grade your clubs.  The standard clubs issued limit your performance.  Is the purpose of this web site to make money upgrading clubs or is the money made through advertising.  If the goal is to get advertisers than issuing everyone the same clubs that are true to distance would allow people to enjoy the game more and bring in more advertisers.

You can move dot on the ball (bottom right corner) down to add back spin and move it to top to add top spin.

The game is free for all to play; however, if you want to win prizes, move up the leader board, try to win grand prizes, it requires some commitment.

The  back spin rarely works on beginners/starters clubs and balls, so its waste of time trying ,the only  roll back u  will get if the course is  downhill

Yes thats right if you want to win prizes you have to spend money (that is on the ready to go tournaments) and if you want any chance of wining anything you have to spend more money on all the club's and ball's and have the commitment and money to keep entering the tournaments over and over....

If you want a game for nothing just visit your local gaming store and ask for your free copy of Tiger Woods.

The purpose of this site is to make money. Period. Whether it is from advertisers or players, there is a business model that remains flexible enough to adapt to changing attitudes and opportunities.  This is real world.  You can play this game and have fun without ever spending a dime, unless your competitive nature begins to kick in.  then you will buy (or earn credits by doing surverys, etc.) credits enough to buy better balls, a better driver, a better putter, and eventually, a set of irons.  Whether or not you succumb to that or the other things, like "snacks", is up to you.

haha dr.jack... i agree with you.  An online computer game simply shud not cost this much.  I can see putting in 10 dollars and being able to choose between all of the equipment.  but this is ridiculous.  30+ dollars on an internet game?????

The producers of this game make enough money off advertising, let alone the mannny ppl who invest in this game.  The prices should be lower bc the standard isnt there.  the game is fun and very addictive, but i can go buy tiger woods pga tour and the graphics and gameplay do not compare.  And its weird bc you dont have to keep sliding money into it to compete with other ppl.

The surveys are a scam mate. I was sniffing aroung on google yesterday, and discovered the murky side of them.

I took the "mytracks.fm instant 450 credits" offer yesterday morning, done everything as required and still haven't seen a single credit for it! Posted about it in the relevent section and guess what? Not one word from WTG!!!

They should scrap the offers and lower the prices to generate more players who would be willing to pay to play. I managed to get 48 members on here, in 5 days, via a football forum I am admin on, and less than a quarter are willing to pay because its too expensive.

Judging by some of the posts on here WTG are unwillig to to take on board any suggestions regarding cash payments. If more people just come on to play for fun because of the costs, as you say, how long do you think WTG will last without people buying credits?

It does work on beginner/starter clubs and balls. It just doesn't make the ball backup. It slows it down so it doesn't roll as far.And sometimes putting top spin on the ball will help it roll a little more when you are between clubs.

You are wrong about not having to keep sliding money into TWO. You have to pay either a yearly or monthly fee to play there now and to play many of their courses you have to pay green fees. And if you don't want to spend your own money try the surveys and other offers. In the past 6 months I have put exactly $1 of my own money into this site and that was last weekend when they added the recommendations for Level points. One was get I think it was 10 points for buying credits. They did not specify an amount so I bought the smallest possible amount 100 credits for $1. And got my 10 points. And during that 6 months I have upgraded my clubs 3 times and am always buying balls. Many of the offers are something that you might do anyway so why not do it through WGT and get credits for doing it as well.
