I was under the impression that the rounds had to be streamed 'live' (See OP on this thread) - two were, 1 was recorded and the other just a score posted.

Surely if the rules stated that the round had to be played live - it should be - would be nice to hear from WGT on this whole fiasco.

Well done to the 2 who did adhere to the original conditions set for the final and I feel that they have been short changed here with regards to the prize moneys being paid.

I had very odd meter jerks on almost every shot, every time I have tried twitch before my meter has been smooth as silk.

What Browser were you using?   That might be the problem

Probably the wrong place but on twitch, I've been trying on and off for ages to play on it but can't seem to set it up.  I'm now stuck at the message: "could not initalise directX10".  Is this me doing something wrong or just my laptop?

I have my crappy laptop and I had the same issue so I just use 'XSplit BROADCASTER' not gamecaster, and use the 'add screen region', click on the corner of the WGT window, which should add the entire browser, but the adj. the settings to crop off the top and bottom etc. and it works.

I'll try this when I feel strong enough, I was using OBS as in YJ's thread and following the instructions there.  So I'll try removing OBS and installing XsplitBroadcaster,  Thanks to both of you.

You are right Sara, but the official results were published in 'News

    1 GBRfmagnets

    250000cr 46
    2 CANWaLk0fLiFe

    125000cr 47
    3 COLjaviertorg
    75000cr

    51

BigNick did not rec a payout.

I don't expect we will hear from anyone from WGT on this "fiasco". They never admit  when they make a mistake or screw up. I have no idea why any of us post ideas or suggestions in any forum. WGT thinks they know the answers even before they hear the question..

This Virtual Tourney is over-that's all folks.....CYA

So Bignick has been dqd and Javiertorg promoted to third, I too thought that when a tournament dosen't have the full number of finishers these credits were shared proportionally. If this wasn't going to happen then an alternative would be to give them to the player that was joint 4th.  Or wgt could just keep them, hmmm.

Another good trick would be award lots of credits to Javiertorg then suspend his account, maybe save lots on this tournament.

Don't know what OS you have but OBS only works with Win7 or Win8....

I do have windows 7, think it's probably the graphics card ("Mobile Intel 4 series express chipset family", it seems) but maybe the fact I still need to run the non pepper flash for a smooth meter doesn't help either.

I'll try as JFidanza suggested then if that doesn't work ask someone more competent to have a go.

If anything good has come of all this it shows you don't need to cheat to win one of these tournaments, just loads and loads of practice,

Congratulations  fmagnets on the win,  and  WaLkOfLiFe for 2nd

The question is , what if, he would have shot a 45? He got paid out , with a cheat engine on his desktop.

It was just very lucky that he did not. But you have to ask the question " What If "

Why else did WGT require that the winners Twitch ? They had to have cheats on their mind.

Now I'm not saying he used it, but why was it there? Well we will never know the answer to that.

Till next year, hope they do this again.

Congrats to the top 2 , Mag and Walk0life. Hmmmmmmm all I want for Christmas........lol

Unfortunate ending to a good tour.  IMO WGT endorses tools that 'assist" players a lot, If you really want to have a pure game, just use your mouse,  head and feel and deal with randomness that golf throws at us.

WGT allows certain tools, in fact they endorse and sell them. Sure cheat engine isn't one that would be accepted but unless you have horrible eye sight, or pathetic hand eye corrdiantion you are going to either ding or barely miss the ding on every shot.  Consider you could miss the ding with a driver 14 times in a round, badly I might add and still hit the fairway, all of the wedge shots the same deal you can miss the ding and they will still go to 1 yard, as well as putts where the meter goes very slow. Add to that now many top players are using Nike irons, so even the approaches you can miss and still get a good result.  You could within reason assuming the winds are low or moderate, not hit the ding once and still shoot a very low score. And in contrast hit the ding every time and shoot a poor score.

People who shoot top scores know the game. when they have a shot for the most part they know exactly what club to hit, how hard, and the amount of spin. When WGT is allowing rulers and shot pal and putter pal to basically put a perfect shot on a platter what you will see is lots of low scores. Knowing exactly where 94% is on your meter and having a ruler to aim out exactly where you need to aim is as valuable if not more so then the idea of either dinging or a slight miss of the ding.

At the end of the day the game is an easy game when you get familiar with it, the only thing that will trip up top players is the game itself being tricky (deceiving yardages and breaks on the green) awkward yardage and wind combinations, or just a lack of focus and hitting dumb shots. The game has become for some players so mechanical that a good shot has already been hit before the club touches the ball.

As far as Javier's 51, it's easy to play the result and say wow look at that. Mind you in those conditions, 51 is surely within reason, in fact if that was a RG I think many of us would have that round on occasion, it's called a WD :-)
