Great to see several of you getting practice in already for this tournament.

Ben, that putt is just hilarious. That's what, about 1ft of power for a 25ft putt.. fantastic!

Full disclosure folks, Ben did admit via PM to me that this was not his first attempt at that putt. :)

Anyway, it's prompted me to offer a sleeve prize for the craziest, most unusual, most creative shot using this equipment in the tournament conditions, either in practice or the real tournament rounds. Just capture the replay and share with a description here in the thread. It'll be entirely my subjective judgment, but feel free to nominate your favorites amongst other player entries too.

Speaking of prizes, Ben (bhoese) has generously offered several sleeves in prizes. One sleeve each for the following:

    1) Low score level 70 or lower (level at conclusion of tourney).

    2) Longest putt made.

    3) Number of saves.

And I will add to that prize pool, with a sleeve each for:

    4) Highest overall percentage of Greens in Regulation

    5) Greatest overall total distance made putts.

Just to remind everyone, WGTdbloshoe will award a sleeve to the top 10 on the final leaderboard, but we will welcome any other prize sponsorships you'd like to offer. Feel free to get creative, e.g. ctth on a particular hole, holes-in-one, or add extra sleeves to any category already listed.

To be in the running for special prizes, please note you will need to share screenshots of your scorecard and stats.

    ArgyleScott:

I don't have a starter pitching wedge, only a sand and a lob wedge. Where can I get one? Shouldn't I have one already?

    Thank you.

Nevermind. I went to play the course and the pitching wedge was in my bag along with the other two. Just a glitch?

pw part of your iron set.

Ok this time I tried to score as well as possible. Shot -6 on the round 1 set-up. -4 front and -2 back 9.  I deffy think this is too easy. I know the game just plays easier in practice mode compared to tourney rounds but the round 1 set-up is pretty tame compared to some of the TIO mega killers we've played. Only missed 1 green and got up and down for par.

Round 2 set-up my best so far has been +4. That's truly a TIO test of patience and will. Missing 6 greens makes all the difference in the world.

Can't wait for this thing to kick in on Monday and hearing tales of the tape from our players.

***Remember to take SCREEN SHOTS of all the STATS!!!!!***

P.S. Thanks again Ben for sponsoring prizes. Your continued support of the UEL game and the TIO Challenges is greatly appreciated.. :)))

Hear, hear to that Cerino! Ben's support of, and outstanding play at, UEL is truly a gift to the community. Thank you Ben!

FYI: I've updated the second post in the thread, with the latest prize information. Other prize sponsors are still welcome, even after the tourney starts.

Also, please note, I'm heading off on a family trip for a few days, back Christmas Eve, so will not be able to check this thread till then (or indeed, be online at all).

Merry Christmas to everyone, and good luck in the tourney!

    Oh dear.

I struggle just to shoot even par from the Master tees with RocketBladez and starter ball.  I can't even imagine how bad its going to be with the starter irons.

And I did get in a few practice holes today......all I can say is, I'm really missing the 15 foot scale on the Odessy LoL.

Yes very tough, any birdie seems like a miracle.

    2) Longest putt made.

Darn, I read too late and I forgot stats and scorecard screenshot :(

Anyway, the non-competing #5 30 ft. birdie putt (an early - and only - ray of sunshine in a troubled round)

I should clarify the saves award.   It is for total number of par saves through 36 holes.  You must post a screenshot of your hole-by-hole scorecard for all four nines to be eligible, because WGT couldn't be bothered to make it appear on the stats at the end of the round.

This category is offered because it involves successfully dealing with uneven lies, and because one need not be a great player to have a chance to win it.  Good luck to everybody, and have fun!
