  Committees unheard of in golf LOL !!!!!!!! RL Golf Clubs invented the committee. I would agree to avoid them because before you know it 95% of people will be banned from playing, we will all be required to wear a shirt and tie when in the forums, there will be no beer allowed on your table during play, random drug testing will become a norm(lick screen technology), you will have to make sure you park your car in the right space when coming home, no swearing during play, no playing in your underwear the list goes on......... : P

  Thanks for that explanation, Monty. I see the 4 have been named. Frankly, I feel a committee is unnecessary--its unheard of in Golf. I feel that we could come to an amiable agreement between the 2 of us re: all 3 "disputes" in amatter of 2 or 3 PMs or chatting during a blitz.

  I hear you on the 'we can sort this out' bit and have to agree with you, however what would suit us, may not be in keeping with how Slor wants the league to be played, or perhaps may set a precedent that Slor wishes to avoid. There is the possibility that anything we agree is rejected when we post results.

  I have seen however, other teams being granted extensions to play games that were difficult to arrange, our situation happened in week one, and everyone was green to the new rules, and as you know we had availability crisis due to our other deadline matches.

  There is also the possibility where we are able to sort out aimiably, other may not be able to do the same, so a disputes mechanism is a sensible facility to maintain an environment of fair play.

  If Slor says we should sort it out, then we are more than happy to do that, but it would be useful to know in advance of that what we can do, so we don't waste our time.

  The committee is a last resort should you not be able to resolve the situation yourselves; can I give you until the end of Friday to discuss, and if not, I'll pass the "file" to the committee.

  Sorry my post was flippant, the problem is that arguments do break out with both sides believing they are right and impartial adjudication is required. The line up of people suggested seems very fair and even although I would suggest adding a woman as any adjudication team needs to be representative.

  Thanks for the discussion on the disputes committee everyone - 

  and just a reminder, please avoid submitting a result twice - the second result will overwrite the fixture below yours in the results spreadsheet and the table is affected as well.

  It was Slors suggestion that we do work it out between our selves. Why don't you PM me your reason for dispute with the Priestess Match and I'll shoot you a synopsis of our situation. If we don't agree then let it be handled by the committee you're on.

  Hi Lisa,

  Had an enjoyable stroll round celtic with Amanda, would have invited you too but you were showing red at the time, think we are all sorted, the dispute over the priestess match was a simple question, which was easily answered and the thing put to bed.

  I am sure Amanda will update you right away.

  No one on the committee adjudicates on their own club's matches. I thought I didn't even have to say that.
