slor:
- If (7) OLC "A" and (8) RnRR "A" both lose the relegation semifinals, (6) O Canada will go down with them unless they manage to win the Division 1 tournament - if that happens, (5) NWC "A" would go down. The relegation final would be redundant: the participants should let me know if they want to play it or not
- If either/both (3) English Lakes "A" or (4) UKGE "A" lose and then lose the relegation final, they go down with OLC and RnRR
- If one of (3) English Lakes "A" or (4) UKGE "A" lose and then win the relegation final against either (7) OLC or (8) RnRR, we're back to the first scenario: (6) O Canada will go down unless they manage to win the Division 1 tournament - if that happens, (5) NWC "A" would go down
So even though we won our QF match, and are not part of the relegation side of the tournament bracket, we are still bound to be relegated unless we pull off the miracle three times in a row???
Doesn't it stand to reason that the team relegated through the tournament should come from the relegation side of the bracket?
Your tournament and your rules slor, and all the respect in the world for running this show, but to me our upset of English Lakes meant we were safe from relegation, since we weren't on that side of the bracket. Now I have to tell my guys that the only way to stay in Division 1 is to pull off three consecutive upsets, or hope for upsets from the 7 & 8 seeds.
Oh well, guess we gotta keep winning!
