    TopShelf2010:

Being in the IT field, you should know then that not all issues occur "on the end opposite of your own." I am not all that familiar with MAC's, but have you done everything in your power to improve your own PC's performance?

Other things to consider, again I am not familiar with MAC's, but what browser are you using to play the game? I have not been having issues of any kind on my end. Loading has been good. Meter has been smooth. I am using Chrome here.

If you could provide some System Information, maybe we can assist you in more detail.

Very Bad advice Mr TopShelf. I have noticed these issues in the last few days myself and my cc members also. i have been here since 2009 an have enjoyed a very smooth meter and have only had problems when wgt as a whole has problems.

Being a long term subscriber I know to clear my caches cookies regularly and have found the right browser to compliment my smooth gameplay.

Since I too have had similar issues in the last few days.I can only conclude that the fault lies with wgt.and will only see an improvement when they address these issues again.

I realize that you have not experienced any issues thus leading you to believe that wgt is not at fault but we are talking here about a majority that are having problems thus proving that it is indeed a wgt problem which I know they will fix eventually.

Telling someone to change their browser that has served them faithfully for years is in my

    opinion not sound advice.

My advice is to everyone who is having problems is to keep posting your problems to wgt until they finally fix these issues that they WILL eventually do and like they have always done in the past.

when you have a majority of customers that are having problems it most certainly is the fault of the game provider.

C'mon please fix these problems promptly !!

Our club is having problems recieving invites when we play our 4 player games in alt shot or skins.  One game last nite took 30 minutes to get started.  Each member of the team had to send out invites.  We have been having these problems for about a month now.  At first we blamed it on high traffic, as these were usually problems on Fri or Sat nites.  Now our wednesday nite games are doing the same.  Between that and the disconnects, that takes alot of fun out of the games.  I'm using Maxthon, btw and regularly clear my cache and history.  I've even tried different browsers.  I have fast internet speeds, and a computer less than a year old.  I even have a program thats shuts down background programs that use the cpu.   WGT, we are doing what we know to do, and what has worked in the past, so before you tell us its our computers, can you please check yours.

On that 1 I can only say what I see,  no clue as to any why how.

Circa a good year + ago I would have said give me chrome all day everyday.  Then suddenly crap so maxthon was then go for a short while waiting for the next flash / game update and sure enough soon enough Maxthon no longer too flash.  Long story short  comodo Dragon it was for a good while, and then it also not too flash...........Hmmmmm Chrome it was again, and that has been rock solid site down or flash update for now a very good while - even with twitch streaming just smooth as silk.

Eve that though I will say within the last week two days ago I changed balls, and like WTF an erratic meter.  Fortunately a day later normal service resumed, and fine since.......touching wood.

IMO do not knock it until you have tried it either.  Just this thread I count 3 it has worked for without out going back two pages, and so I don't see it as anything other other than a helpful suggestion as it worked...................now not admittedly all windows machines, but sound advice that is worth a go based on it's history of being a good known solution within the remit TS outlined.........I installed a new flash update again today (I always stay fully up to date) and silky smooth again with chrome...........I can tell you for nothing I know several others will tell you similar.............and all sentient people ........No harm posting issue, but just explaining (reiterating TS really) what has worked for others over and over again .

"But there are 10's of thousands on here playing"........I don't think so.......look at the number of active Country Clubs and  see what level they are playing at and you can see who is active and who is not......there is not even 10,000 total members in the top 50 CC.....9,256 to be exact.......now deduct who is not playing routinely.......it's probably less than 5,000 active golfers that play at least 3 rounds a week

I generally don't post regarding the performance of this game..

But this happened to me last night, at around Midnight ( EST )  ,  i was playing a RG. and then the game went reaallly slow, nothing will load at all.  Not even the profile page, or fourum page..  The whole WGT site, just froze.

I checked my internet connection, changed browser, every other site was running absolutely fine.

So, i couldn't play the RG, and i finished it just now, this morning. That was not the first time tho, it has happened a couple times before, and sure will happen in future too..

So, i think it was like a downtime last night,, they might be changing servers or something, i have no clue about the technical terms.

    Crazy3:

Just tried 3 different browers with the same results as being mentioned here. Then, I tried pinging WGT - guess what - request timed out 3 times before giving 1 result of: 4 packets sent - none received - 4 lost - = 100% lost.  Yep - WGT is having problems, but then that is nothing new.

Exactly, that what i did last night, i pinged WGT, and it was showing 850ms, 890ms, 880ms,..    Whereas other sites were normal 70ms,71ms..etc   . This started around Midnight (EST) last night.

    1. Multiplay - a recently very well documented issue with A/S anyway and any which way.  Personally not seen an issue in scored MP, and donlt do anything else so no comment;

    2. Slow load of main site pages; From Eastern Australia here I have not seen that being an issue for some good time.  Certainly had my share of it, and WGT probably not usually as perfect as other sites often enough, but so slight for so long really fine.

3 Game client loading generally - Really fine mostly in SP at least; A/S can be and too often is dreadful.

    4. Meter - as described above in my prev post.

Just from my experience all very separate and unrelated issues - Only say as important to remember that when looking for solutions / registering and issue.

Browser - Smosher, this or that, those, try this, try that....I don't want to do anything. I want WGT to realize the problem is at their end, and fix it. Everything else is just conversation.
