  Clearing puters cache might lead to a problem such as slow loading.  The game will use info stored on your puter when playing. If it can't get that info, then it has to go to Wgt. That's when slow loads start to happen. That's my theory anyway...lol

  I haven't cleared my cache for ages.

  You can still delete the Flash Files, except for the Wgt file.  Delete that one only after an upgrade or maybe a new set of clubs.

  Meter Stutters maybe caused by programs loading or doing something in the backround. The game might be still loading a few trees whilst your playing your shot, that's when a meter spike might happen.

  When I got my new pc, (win 8.1) I had to change browser as Fox was useless, settled with Comodo Dragon after trying a few others.  The only problem with Comodo, it might take awhile getting to see my messages or copy/pasting, I can live with that.

  I think the game is getting too big for some puters to handle now. This could also be a problem.

  I'm one of those people who doesn't have a problem.  Sorry...I should say,  I do have the occasional meter stutter, maybe a slow load but most of the time it's pretty good.

  ....and yes there might be a problem at Wgt's end occasionally that's when everybody who is playing has a problem.

   I don't know,lets say there's 5 lines going into Wgt servers, there could be one suspect line that's causing the problem It might be as simple as that.

  That is not a true statement, but is a typical overly dramatic WGT forum comment.

  WGT often acknowledges having problems at their end.

   

   

   

     What ?? WGT can't even acknowledge there are any problems let alone take any responsibility for any of the issues.

  They seem to have even dumped the broken record " Clear cache...switch browsers" BS .Having been in business for many years I have rarely seen a problem fix itself by ignoring it. Any response would be better than just pretending all is well and ignoring customers concerns. Not cool WGT......Not cool at all !

  As for me it is very clear and easy, if wgt do not give me a real solution, not more money nor more new friend invitations for playing. And of course not very good opinions in the many social networks where I am the administrator......, It is very clear that the problem are their servers, above all after this afternoon I have checked a matter. I can play without problems stroke tournaments (no frozen Windows), but it is very strange that with CTTH and multiplayers games (for example alternate games) my play window continues frozing each two or three shoots. As a matter of fact I have lost two alternate games for this reason. So, my browser is good only for stroke games and not for the rest..., very very strange matter lol. It is clear that is a problem with some updates maden for wgt two days ago and the problem is an script. Clearer.., water. But if they do not want to check it...., it is not my problem. Please wgt, attend your current customers because I have always thought is better to keep the current custormers than to get new more.

  We are sorry to hear that you are having troubles. I see in this thread that many o players have recommended some trouble shooting. Have you tried anything on your end to help.

  The fact that you can play a stroke play game means that there it is not always a server issue. I can see a problem with multi player games but you also have to take into account the other players possibly having connection troubles.

  However, there is no difference from a server stand point between a CTTH game and a single player stroke play game. 

  Please also note that we have not made any updates "two days ago". That would not be a cause for your troubles. 

  We see that you stated you are playing on a Mac. What browser are you using? Please keep in mind that we do not officially support Safari so we recommend using either Chrome or Firefox.

  Someone said in a game tonight that WGT had found some Techs that could find their a$$ with both hands. Obviously they were misinformed. This game s Fubar and getting worse by the day.

  yep I've found the gameplay a bit dodgey the last few days and nowt changed at my end

  Maybe we are just unlucky and connecting to the Friday afternoon built servers?!  Of which there maybe a lot?

  I am having no problems like that with WGT. In fact it seems to be running better at the moment than it has for a long while.

  I use Comodo Dragon or Firefox as my browsers, and I use these two browsers for NOTHING else, exclusively for WGT. I clear my caches etc every two days as well and it all seems to run just nicely. I would say that I have nothing else running when I play WGT, no music, I play music to keep me company on a laptop beside the PC. I do use Skype however, and unlike some others I know of I get no problems because of that. 

  Maybe I am just lucky or its good computer housekeeping, I don't know, but I see posts telling of this problem or some other problem, and think I must be one of the lucky ones. But there are 10's of thousands on here playing who seem to have no bother at all. 

  I am no computer expert, but maybe its time for those with problems to look to their system setups and not keep blaming WGT, who are a convenient easy target ! WGT have given us a great game which we all enjoy, not perfect maybe, but way better than any others I have seen around. So sort your own house out before you take the easy option and blaming them ! 

  Now wheres my helmet ? Sure to get a battering from some for this !!

  Thats fine for you. I have had long periods (months) of no real issues with wgt. Few disconnects, no noticable meter issues. But lately the meter has been choppy again, and the game itself choppy.

   

  My specs have not changed before and after the game issues. Still running the same browser (maxthon), no updates.

  Running a quad core i7 Haswell with all C-states disabled clocked at 3.9GHz, with 8GB 1600 XMP DDR3 RAM, samsung 250GB SSD, Nvidia GTX 970 3GB MSI GPU stock overclocked at 1400MHz.

  I know, must be my fault, must be my computer. What do you have? A NASA supercomputer?

  And just for the record, had problems before clearing cache/cookies/flash, and have had same problems after. And also, in case anyone asks, had problems with a Win 8.1 partition after 4 months of use, and have had problems tonight after reformatting and reinstalling Win 8.1 fresh install. Had no problems many months ago, same system. has something changed at my end? Possibly. But what?

  Not only that, but I have my system heavily optimised. I only run the maxthon browser for wgt, nothing else. Cleared all the cache, cookies, flash cleared. Still been a problem the past few weeks. Tried disabling GPU acceleration in maxthon, slight improvement. What I have noticed via inspection is that ads, and the ad servers seem to be correlated with issues.

  Hi Admin,

  In relation to your answer, I send more information at this respect: Firstly I do not use Mac and as for the browser I use for playing IE two years ago and without problems. With regards to the games, your infomation is not really good.

  I play STROKE in tournament for example without problems (no frozen Windows)

  I play CTTH in tournament for example with many problems (for example today, seven times frozen the play window in nine shoots). So I have to close the window and after, open again and select CONTINUE GAME.

  In both of cases, the games are not multiplayers..., so the problems is not in another player.

  I have clean CACHE, deleted cookies and check the last update of the flash. All is right and I have no probles in another webpages (only in WGT). Even I have tried it in another computer (latop) and the problem is even worst. I have tried using another internet provider and the same. As I said, the error message when the window is frozen is WGT.COM not anwser due to an script with continued ejecution (

Of course and in this moment I tried to check the error using Windows and the system does not give solution because the problem is not in my system. Even I have talked with systems administrator in my job in the spanish governament and after all, he says that the problem is in the server. So, what can I do more at this respect? I can invite to an WGT for an alternate game and so, he can check what I am saying. When the server in WGT.com does not answer he can check the registry of error in the connections in the server.

  And of course, I shall not change my system or browser because they have run without problems more than two years and of course, they run well in all my usual webpages. So in such a case and as I said in my last message, I prefer to leave WGT.

  Before I get started I am not a WGT kiss ass.

  First ? How do you maintain your life, house, automobile, etc.

  Do you expect WGT to maintain all when it is all up to you to do so.

  If you don't think maintaining a current Flash Update that is up to you but don't blame WGT for your ignorance.

  Updates are for security purposes. Keep that in mind.
