I don't mind the change to the rough, about the same as I enjoy the uneven lies.  Both have the right idea, but need some major tweaking to make more "realistic".  Take away the spin from rough, fine,  but gosh darnit add some spin to bunker shots would ya????????

they should do random bunker lies from 15-20% up to 40-50%, when you land in a bunker you dont know what you will get, just like in real golf, sometimes you get lucky and sometimes you dont.

heres a question someone might know the answer too, why is bethpage the only course to have 15-20% lies? it seems on bethpage you can get good 15-20% lies and sometimes 30-40%, it would be good to see that on all courses.

they should make the drivers have less stats/attributes but keep the length, upgrade the 3w's with better stats/attributes and add a tiny bit of length and make the bunkers with random lies to make it more about hitting the fairway just like major courses, premium on accuracy, wgt seems to be all about using the driver when major courses are about taking less than driver to eliminating the risk to give yourself a shot at birdy.

    Dear WGT,

    Please don't patronise us!

We 'the players' keep your website alive and no doubt pay your very good wages! Your true reasons for changing the rough shot reactions must be to get players to practice more i.e.  spend money on golf balls hence more shots are wasted on practice shots and practice rounds.....and sometimes lost balls!

Your  rationalisation of dealing with WGT players comments on how rough shots should react is the reason for this change is mere folly. As afore mentioned by other WGT players, you have achieved nothing.

You have angered regular long playing members -  myself included - who had already spent good time AND MONEY practicing their skills to achieve more accurate, precise and match winning golf.

Your avin a laugh! As we say here in the UK.....jog on!

YOU MUST BE LAUGING ALL THE WAY TO THE BANK!!!

I really doubt WGT's goal when they changed the conditions when hitting from the rough was so that players would practice more and therefore spend more money on balls...that's quite a stretch.

Personally, I - and many players I have talked to - happen to actually LIKE the changes to hitting from the rough that the site has made. The changes have made hitting from the rough more realistic.

As far as players who have spent time and money to achieve more accurate and precise shots from the rough - ADJUST! Besides, players are not supposed to achieve as accurate and precise results from the rough as they do from the fairway anyway.

I agree. Now you really have to know your shots and think about them instead of mindlessly knowing your fbs shot is going to stop on a dime.  :-)

    Bingo x2

Just wish there was a bit more spin on greenside bunkers, or add more shot types "splash or blast".  Which may work for deep lies as well.

*** making game more inaccurate to even playing field is crap.REALISM, with a wedge in rough you can get a lot of spin on ball.at least wgt can make more expensive balls now,say with 10 spin and sell for 8000 creds a ball
