  Zulu24 The Yorkshire County Club won 3up against DAVE21265 Southern English Brush Bandits.

  A tough game played with a strong wind, didn't leave much room for error. Not many birdies, 1 eagle, 1 bogey.

  I think we were both a bit disappointed with our individual game.

  However it was played in good spirit, as all games should be.

  Match report.

  Curlytim (Yorkshire County GC)   v   Poppagolf (Southern English Brush Bandits.)

  Mark (Poppagolf)  won by one hole, great match I had meter jerking for most of the first few holes, but no taking it away from Mark, he kept his nurve and head down for the win. Well played Mark, great bloke, good banter I really enjoyed.

  Just won a cracking match against Steve (Hamner1961) of the Southern English Brush Bandits

  Reached the turn all square after swapping birdies early on, then halving in pars and birdies from 5 - 9.

  I got a long birdie putt on 10 to go 1 up then Steve had a classic wrong scale putt on 11 which gifted me the hole.

  From then on we halved in birdies (one or two pars) till the 15th when I holed a 13ft pitch (we were both off the green in 2). He just failed to match that so it was dormie 3 going into the 16th.

  We halved that in birdie after a 23 footer from Steve - I'd put my approach to 7 feet and managed to hole out for the win.

  Fine golfer and real gentleman.

  No doubt this will also be 'moderated!!' but it isn't my first one  -  nor was the last one. I have posted several times in the various WGT forums.
