New personal best @ Congressional

  Great. 1/50th of the way towards Legend.  Fan-#$%^ing-tastic.  I was pretty pumped to get it at the time, but a missed putt from TWO *&^!ing feet just cost me  a 63 @ Jokemont. Whatever, I hate this game LOL.

  Got off to a VERY uncharacteristic (for me that is) hot start, after a chip in on 2 and Birds on 6 of the next 7 holes. Cooled down on the back 9, as I had to get up and down 3 times and 2 putt on 10, 12, and 14. Found the sweet stroke again on 16 and 17 however, dropping me to -9 with back to back birds. On the 18th fairway I stood 184 yards from Glory, and dispite missing the dinger the 5i delivered one of the purest strokes of my career.

  Tapped in for a bogey free 61, and my Crystal Congressional Conquerer award. Now I just need to do it 49 more times and I'll be playing from the parking lot with the big boys LOL.

  Great Finish...a simple 29 then you had to be thinkin' "yeah, yeah back to normal" with those 6 pars to open the back, then the killer finish....and as usual you think a 58 or 59 slipped away....61 at Congo is awesome golf !   ~ SP ~

  Well damn it. I just blew another shot at 63 at Oakmont. Birds at 5,7, and 8 on the front. More birds at 10,11,14,15,17 and 18 on the back. But clicked way early on my approach on 1, and couldn't get up and down from the rough. Bogey. On 9 I intentionally missed short of the green hoping to get up and down for par, but I lipped out from 7 feet. And on 13 my try for bird went about 4 feet long, and I somehow managed to come up short on the resulting par attempt!!!!!!! Yeah, I was pretty livid, but thats WGT for ya.

  And a couple of days ago I set another personal best with a bogey free 61 at St. Andrews, so now I'm a full 4% of the way to Legend haha.

  well done

  mrenn is congressional king, so the day I dropped 57 of him to beat him, was the day I rejoiced.
