An unpredictable meter i can just about live with, the green dots i can't, i'm having to play putts by memory and the ones i don't remember so well i'm guessing, it aint much fun anymore, it didn't seem to take too long to change them from the overly fast speed to this ridiculously slow speed so why is it taking so long to change them again?

If  wgt change the green speed to all comps as " Mud"  Super slow. The speed of the dots won't matter that much !!!

Got no trouble with invites now, was earlier, but fine now. But the dots are running slow now after running slow.

Be good when WGT stop messing with things and just sort all the gremlins out. Then we can get on and play this game without shouting about stuff they've messed up. So  please just sort out these problems quick

36 hours and no further word from the mods (or is it a case of moderation in everything?!)....

So much for keeping us updated.

I had heard that the invite problem has returned so something must have been fixed - just not sure what....

    fmagnets:

Nothing to do with the changes to the rough which were ages ago.

Sorry but I didn't mean to express or imply that the rough change, in and of itself, caused the meter problem or the green dots problem. What I was getting at was, before the rough change update, and after the release of Bandon Dunes, that is when the invitation problem began surfacing. It was minor then ... most people I know of were getting game invitations, and the problem had been brought to WGT's notice, but never totally solved.

After the rough change update, some people began to experience loss of spin from the fairway. Again it was brought to WGT's notice. Ever since then, the problems have continued to compound.

I suggested rolling back the changes to before the rough update, so that WGT could solve for one variable at a time, beginning with the invitation glitch. AFAIK, there wasn't any outcry before the rough change update about much of anything wrong other than the invitation problem, but I could be wrong.

I know if I were the person (or persons) assigned the task of tackling troubleshooting, I would want the variables to be as few as possible. Now we have bad meter, bad green speed indicators, invitations not being sent and/or received (surely not being received), problems with tournaments, an increased CPU load ... alt shot and match play games not going to extra holes ... people losing credits through no fault of their own. All this after the rough change update.

I merely suggested a certain point in time as a starting point ... it makes more sense to me than attempting to solve for a plethora of problems and watching new ones crop up with every change.

After the invitation update were solved, then WGT could make other changes as they see fit, but I would recommend only after rigourous testing, and then one change at a time, to gauge the effect. When things are trouble-free (as much as possible), and you introduce one change at a time into the system, if you get some unforeseen effect, it's easier to find where the problem lies.
