I have already stated several times on these forums that my flash version has not changed in at least 5 months. During that time, I initially had no "speed-changing" dots, then I had dots on amphetemines, then I have had, like many others, dots changing speed. No changes at my end.

My machine is reasonably high end, use it for video editing, again, I have my machine highly optimized. I mean highly optimized.

So what I am hearing from some is that we should change flash versions that once worked fine, when WGT makes changes, as my setup worked just fine for quite a long time until more recently.

It's kind of analogous to buying a new car with normal tyres that drives just fine on your typical tar road. Then council introduces road surfaces that are made of 12 inch spiky nails. You drive on the new road and of course you get a flat tyre. You suggest to council to fix the roads, but they say to you "no, there is nothing wrong with our roads. You need to downgrade your car to one with wooden tyres".

... and for the record: using high power plan. Not straight out of the tin either. Have all relevant power savings measures turned off in the advanced settings. All usb selective suspend settings: off. All "allow computer to turn device off to save power" in device manager: off..

All C-states disabled in BIOS. Machine properly tweaked for optimum SSD performance. That includes a custom task that runs a proper SSD optimisation (Win 8 will defrag SSD's by accident, after a month or so, that most people are not aware of).

All unnecessary services disabled or set to manual via services.msc

Anyway, all this is irrelevant. Had no issues under this setup / browser / flash combination, wgt made changes, now have problems..

I have also said elesewhere that running adobe scout delivered around 4 to 12 fps, with a target of around 25 or 30 fps, from memory. So my Nvidia GTX970 isn't enough to run WGT on a 50Mbit connection, but I have no problems running Davinci Resolve? Go and download Davinci Resolve and see how you go. Don't blame me when your machine freezes..

Am tired of being blamed for what is so clearly an issue caused by recent wgt code changes. And they have admitted it! Search the forums and you will find that another "feature" recently introduced by wgt has been acknowledged as causing the dots issue.

The dots issue exists since the last WGT update for many (all?) users, whatever are the PC config, flash version and browser. There's nothing more to say!

    What happened is simple.

Early Jan, WGT did something to the dots which sped them up dramatically, they then attempted a hotfix, this hotfix made the dots too slow.

About 2 weeks ago, or after that last maintenance, the dots seemed ok for about a week, then all hell broke loose and now we have dots slowing / speeding / stopping / slowing etc.

Not once during all this time did I change my flash because Icon stated they were attempting a fix (ie, its not on our end, it's an issue on their side)..

My question is this, how can it now be my flash/ram/cpu speed that is causing the problem? Especially considering that it isn't at all the courses..

I'm confused and irritated by it all, how to ruin an amazing game bit by bit :-(

It's so difficult to accept that there is a major problem from wgt's side regarding this matter? Already has been posted the video. There are several good players who stating the same thing. Why on earth should be doing this if was not a real issue? Do you actually believe that instead of playing and enjoying the game which we pay regularly everyday, like us more whining 24/7 in fora? No, there is no Flash problem. No, there is no cookies and cashe problem. No, there is no XP, Win7,8, Linux, Mac whatever problem. No, there is not power option problem. No, it's not E.T's fault.

Lizard in the above post said it all. So simple..

If you experience frame interpolation problems, get another algorithm that works well. Until then, please leave in peace this poor game and us. It's so irritating to hear every time the same obsolete and foundless excuses...please do not that anymore.

Hotfix = Patch.. And as we all should know, if you put too many "Patches" on a racing bicycle tyre you will soon have a bumpy ride.....

Close down for a week WGT and change the tyre inner-tube for a new one.... And whilst you are about it you may as well put new tyres on as well..

Which plan do you normally use?

Covered off in replies now anyway I think.

FWIW though high power would be usual, but same result on any(higher spec machine, and only tried high power on the lower spec)

Usually play on the higher spec laptop and meter / dots were always fine before the "upgrade".  Now my meter is still fine,  but the dots are not always v useful.

Their testing facilities need mpre resource thrown at it.

Y'all got me totally confused with all of this tech talk, it sounds like a geek convention in here.  :)

My dots are moving just fine. I don't know why but they are. If it ain't broke I ain't fixing it.

Great scott, Yiannis1970 - I didn't consider E.T might be involved. Maybe at least wgt could reply, saying "yes we've recently discovered that the dots issue you all have been having is real, and we have recently discovered E.T has been at our programming desk, messing up our code. Please accept our apologies, and we will be sending E.T back. We are just phoning home right now".
