100's have crossed the border. Maybe 1,000's. Wgt is focusing on Mobile as their future now. It's plain and simple if one steps back and looks. The horrendous PC play (every bug) either began, or was magnified when they rolled out that Mobile version. Using Adobe for this type of game, is old school now. Steam is "steam-rolling" (needs work, but it's the future).

The cost for WGT to change, in order to compete, would be too much. Not to mention, dumb business sense. The owners/inventors have a long history of tech start-ups, getting them rolling with other people's money, making money, paying their debts, and walking away with a big fat wad. The people at the top know how to make money. And, you don't make money in the tech world by kissing customer's a**es. In a year, if that, WGT will be the Number One Mobile golf game (for long enough to get people rich, or richer).

The PC days are numbered. Adobe is the Pong. Steam is the Pacman (for the older folks who remember). For the younger crowd, Adobe is Mario Brothers. Steam Is Call of Duty. Both fun, but one makes the other look rather antiquated.

WGT would be foolish to do anything other than just keep the game running as cheaply as possible, and focus on the Mobile version, which has ZERO competition. Just the other day, the head honcho was the speaker at a summit focusing on Mobile and the future.

I'm on both other games (been on 'em since 2013). Own both, but still blindly and dumbly hope that this "1st love" will come around. Might not be the best, but it's the one I want to play.

I disagree. While mobile is important and is a way for most of the world stay connected, computers are not going anywhere.

Does this game have some problems. yes, it does but we are always trying to improve the game and fix issues.

I may not play 10-15 rounds a day like I used to, but I play daily... Last Friday, I played I think 7 or 8 straight hours (until courtney whipped my butt) and didnt have 1 crash or anyone on my public games crashed or disconnected. I just played some random games on random courses. Many players didn't recognize it (I played under iconian), so it was kinda fun to play under the radar :)

Can it better? of course, we always want that. After all, if there are less issues then we can all play more and spend less time reading the forums.

Please continue to keep giving us constructive feedback

Appreciate you chiming in. At the least, it lets people know they aren't being totally ignored. I hope you're right about the game. I simply can't see it. No matter what I do/play, I will always want this game to be there. I don't do anything Mobile (my phone is the same one I had in 2005). A desktop is about as tech as I get.

I would rather play than visit the forums, too. Lately, it's been the opposite, though. Like I said in another post, I never noticed any green dot speed change (faster or slower), but I do know that the last week or several days, I have missed way too many putts that I know should have gone in. I hope I'm just in a slump.

What was that "hotfix"? Or, is it secret? It sure caused a mess for the computer players.

Microsoft tried forcing touch screen on everyone, and the epic fail that windows 8 was told them even they can't dictate the market.  Be a brave decision for a game to only go that mobile route for a good while IMO.

Feedback is communication being so poor as to be insulting.  I realise as a mod your hands are tied with what you can communicate from the other side, but the way the green speed dots were (are being) handled was (continues) dreadful.............Can't see how that helped (is helping) anyone.  Not personal (I hasten to emphasise) but to WGT INC on a scale of 1 - 10, well, I would give a -5 for that 1.  Good job the base game is so good to withstand the battering it has got lately, anything lesser would have been zapped.

EDIT: CS front line wise when contacted do offer an excellent service IMO BTW.  Some one there is doing a difficult job v well.  Separately RG choice though the lists are given each month and mostly ignored, and so WGT are bad at listening too (when too busy ?? through something they caused).

I'm sure WGT is doing their best to keep up and control everything that happens on this site. I as an owner get a lot of feedback from our members and have had way to many  complaints this weekend. I personally had a terrible weekend (getting kicked off during games, putts showing zero break, and the meter running past where you hit it)  being on Skype with 4 players and have 1 that none of us could invite after all of us rebooting). I used my laptops in 3 separate locations to see if it was my connection or yours. It's yours with no doubt. Having direct communication by voice through Skype with 10 members at a time having the same issues tells me that it has to be a site problem. I could make a list of differences in the game itself that just made it hard to even play a round for past 2 days.  I've read everything that I need to for now, Its time to fix the problem or start losing members. Spring time is almost here. Real golf, boating/fishing surfing, and many other outdoor sports are available to most members now. I'm going to play for a couple more weeks and hope to see a change for the better, if not see you next winter.

Interesting discussion here with some valid points, and yet, there's 30 minutes of my virtual game life that I'll never get back.

Bottom line is, as I see it....with all the issues that this game is currently experiencing, i.e. green dots, invite system, alt shot extra holes bug, etc, etc...the question always boils down to, What/when is WGT going to do something about all this?

We've all grown tired of the responses..."We're looking into it" "We're aware of the problem" "Our techs are working on it" and I know it must be one tuff job for the mods to hold those lines, but come on...something has to be done here.

One of the most sensible suggestions I read a few weeks ago here in the forum was to have WGT just shut down the site for 2 or 3 days or however long it takes and just OVERHAUL the entire game...fix everything...roll out a new version. But in my limited knowledge about these things, maybe that is too much to ask.

One thing is for certain, with all the ongoing issues, WGT members continue to shy away from the game which means a loss in revenue for WGT. Everyone is waiting for a fix, guys, and then watch the tidal wave of people coming back to the game!

    My two cents - Sean

Is anyone experiencing problems with replays???  I notice, when playing a game alone and I manually want to replay a shot, the game will freeze up when I exit the replay screen.  The mouse will move, but I cannot take another shot. Thank you all in advance for your replies.

There is an issue with replays that we are investigating. At this time, after you watch the replay the next time you try and take a shot the game freezes. Unfortunately, this occurs in all game modes. Thank  you for your patience while we work to find a solution.

User's workaround #57 for this fault:

Use the exit button down right, not the one in the pop-up screen (center). You may have to start another run of the replay.

But, where is the game going?

I very much appreciate your contribution - well done!

I appreciate the recent change in the game which may have resulted in a smoother meter. CPU load is sometimes higher than before but with less (negative) effect.

Other than that, more problems seem to buck up now, and many solutions are followed by new faults - an endless cascade? There may be more repair areas than manageable(?)

Regarding constructive feedback, your company has done a lot last year to disencourage us - a very constructive list has been wiped off the table, your questioning threads were officially abandoned. How sustaining will this discussion be?

OTOH, there were clear indications that the premier goal of the company is revenue, not customer satisfaction (e.g. CC re-organisation, CC passes, CC events).

And the biggest question concerning the future of the game is:

What will be the post-Flash game? Will it be PC based, multi-based or only mobile based?
