Most people forget that in an 18 hole round, if you shoot par of 72, ONE HALF of all your shots will be made with your putter.
    You sure about that.......??

    Andy

Probably not, but in theory, if you hit all GIR and use the regular 2 putts per hole.

    18 x putts = 36 putts, which leaves 72 - 36 other shots, one half each.

As for the top T/L profiles , some are bogus profiles created by WGT to promote sales and generate revenue . Others are actual WGT under cover employees with modified accounts , they dont get the same level of deviation which allows them to shoot those ridiculous low 50 scores .

                                                     Got any proof of this?

Thought not, back to the psyche ward for you ...

I knew one of the cheer leaders would show up and try to derail the thread , any way  go to your browser search and type in WGT Complaint Board and read Paul . You can keep your tin foil hat for yourself . Me personally I dont care as Im a casual player . I dont play for credits at any time . I like how you are always trying to defend WGT , so how much do you get paid for kissing their pants ?

    Sorry, Andy.

I should have included "in theory".  We all know, that Par is the accepted standard to measure a round score against.  And, Par is supposed to be determined based on the holes yardage, and a 2 putt allowance/hole, to determine the holes total score.

Therefor, "in theory" (and many players agree), over the course of an 18 hole round, you have more chances to save strokes, (i.e. shoot under Par) on the green than any place else .  That's what I meant in my comments supporting Lonnie's statement.

If I seem to be pedantic about the whole (or hole, if you prefer, LOL), I'm sorry, as that;s not my intent.

    Hit 'em where you're aiming.

    Jeff

And you are citing that bunch of crackpots as proof of your crackpot theory?

I have read that sites WGT content before but I did go and read it again just in case there was something credible in there...there wasn't.

That's not actually true though is it? I am among the first to condemn WGT when I see the game going places I don't like.

I do admit though, that my full scorn is reserved for the propagandists who post their paranoid delusions in the form of wild conspiracy theories.

Show me your proof or it's back to Arkham for you laddie.

Thanks to lonnie, fmag and the conspiracy theorists who have contributed.

My short game is actually pretty lethal "most of the time".  Assuming I dont make a silly mistake or miss the ding by a mile I can get almost every shot from within 100-ish yards inside my comfort range for putts.  Admittedly I seem to always land in the one spot on the green that makes the putt way more challenging than it needs to be but Im getting better at that.  My putting is actually very very good (I think) considering my service time is so limited.  Its always been my 100-200 yd range that has struggled.

Ive decided to stick with current equipment and play with the new Nike Blacks once they become available to me.  I feel like there will be new irons coming out between the 85-97 level to bridge the gap because the R11s dont offer enough of an increase (half dot of spin) and a huge hit to meter speed whilst the L94 Max Meters...well they speak for themselves.  Here's to hoping that a better ball will help my game.  Thanks for the tips guys and/or gals.

I love a good conspiracy theory..  but it's just that.. a theory.  It's hard to find proof to back them up, even though there may be some truth to it. Even if some whistleblower came forward and spilled his guts no one would believe them.

Some of what Lonnie is saying has been whispered about for a long time.. I don't know if any of it's true or not, but I wouldn't bet my life that it's completely bogus. Some nefarious **** goes on behind the scenes in any corporation.. or gov't for that matter.  Word.

The R11s have all the stopping power needed, and then some.  Would no likely struggle with your black ball that way if like to play spin, but then so would the L97s.  Depends which way you play, but note some very good players have won RGs with teh black ball / L90 R11 combo.  Meter wise the L90 R11s do look long in the tooth, and that 3 rating must be in the offing.  Think I said on another thread the VUSO would be a good time, but WGT will get around to it as and when.  When is the big ? :)

As for the complaints board there may be some truth hidden in the lunacy or there may not be, just that a good sleuth would not rule anything out until the truth is proven I guess, LOL.  What is obvious though is that a bigger collection of useless player nut jobs you would not not find elsewhere, not in such a confined space that is for sure.

Using that board as proof is like the bloke who conclusively proves dinosaurs walked with us by saying a shape he found next to a fossil is a shoe.  His scientific proof is that everyone says he is a nut job, and so trying to put him down......

The thing I've experienced with the R11's is that you don't get punished as bad for missing the ding as you do with the Nike 85's.. Actually, I rarely hit it with the R11's but as long as I'm in the neighborhood I'm getting great results.

Although the R11 and Nike's have the same numbers in precision and forgiveness, something is off because the R11's clearly outperform. I'd be willing to bet if they replace them with similar R15's they won't be as good as these.

Oh, and I've never seen that complaint board.. No way I'm going down that rabbit hole.. LOL

If you're missing with Nike 81s so badly that you're chuckin' em off into the sweet by-and-by, I don't think there's really any advice or gear combination that will help you.  If you use balls and gear that have their main selling point as a slow meter, you're simply going to have to give up some other statistics.  Learn to play with what you got, and know the rolls.  Any advice given to you here is ultimately going to be moot, plain and simple.
