Greens to putt that is. Olympic, Oakmont or Merion ? Why ? The break, the speed. or both ? Or is it Bandon ?
Merion, because the breaks are too subtle to read on WGT's simplified grid.
Pinehurst and Bandon I seem to get caught out on most...when I think I can see the line perfectly.
Kiawah has quite a few wierd breaks and camera angles, but it doesn't break a whole lot like a Merion or Oakmont.. Olympic greens are pretty good... I'd say Whistler but thats maybe coz I haven't played it much...
Merion greens by far. Some really tough pins on that course. Would be nice to have a third set with only easy pins. Oakmont is tricky but at least if you miss a putt there, the ball will stay on the green!
Merion without a doubt. Some tough reads and put your approach in the wrong place, and three putting is on the cards.
But for greens that cannot be read....KIawah.
I cannot comment on Bandon as I have never played it.
Oakmont, by no small margin. Also the apostrophe in your title is extraneous, SP. :D
Definately Merion some greens are like moutain slopes a newbie like me can take 6 putts on some greens lol its Sadistic and Painful
Olympic for me. There isn't one green that doesn't have a severe slope on it. That is unless you're not directly under the pin. Second on my list is Kiawah only because of some of the camera angles. Then I'd add Merion, Pinehurst and Bandon. Both Cabo and Whistler have some goofy holes too. Guess we can't leave out RSG either then. Especially with the wind howling. Hmmm, did I miss any other courses?
Lute345: did I miss any other courses?
You sure did, my nemesis, Oakmont.
