After reading the reviews in the Proshop about this putter, I am unsure about buying it. There are only a few reviews there and I thought if I posted a thread about it I might get some more feed back about it before I bought it. A couple of the posts say that its really only effective on very fast greens and above. This wouldn't bother me to much as I am at master level so most of the games I play would be on very fast greens anyway. Basically I am looking for advice from people that are using or have used this putter. I am using the Spider putter at the moment and I am relatively happy with it. The attraction for the new putter is the smaller incriments and the extra precision. Is it more precise? If I miss the sweet spot will it go all over the place? Those are the questions I need answers to.

    Thanks In Advance.

I think it's great. The best value putter that is available.

The Daytona is a great putter. It has twice the precision of The Spider (which in my opinion is a awful putter) and only 1 dot less on forgiveness. And the meter speed is almost identical to the Spider. I used both and the Daytona in a much better putter.Another good choice is the level 44 Redwood. It has the same attributes as the Daytona but with a much faster meter speed. Either of those putters will make the Spider seem like putting with a hockey stick. And if credits are at a premium the level 44 Redwood is 150 credits cheaper than the Daytona.

It's also easier to learn and has a 45 ft scale instead of 60. I have never used the Daytona because it's too slow but it has the same specs as the Redwood I'm using now. I used the other Redwood for a long time and thought it was an excellent putter. When I upgraded though, the increased accuracy threw me for a while.

You will see the same thing when you go to the better putter. (I would suggest what BTB said, get the Redwood.) It isn't as forgiving as what you have now but the accuracy more than makes up for it. You can still miss the ding with it, just not as much. It will take you a bit to get used to how accurate either putter is but it's way worth it.  GL

I use the Daytona. I have also used the Redwood. What I like about the Daytona is the meter speed along with the easy math of 15-30-60-90 & 150 ft increments. It is very precise although I am not...I hit, on purpose, either early or late except on straight putts, and believe it to be a putter that anyone would enjoy and improve with. I say buy it.

Daytona is a good putter, but only if you are confident of hitting the ding line or miss hitting it exactly where you want to.

Higher precision means it will go where you hit it! Exactly

Looking at your stats, you are putting quite well at your current level.

Why fix something that's not broken?

Wait until you become Legend before throwing away your money:)

    I'd take 20 putts over 18 holes 14 days a week Jim!

    (1.68 putts/hole X 18 holes = 30.21 putts per 18)

Your putting isn't much better and you have had 18 months more practice than the OP.

Don't push him into wasting his money until he is sure:)

The average putts per round can be a little miss leading. What I would like to see is 2 stats for this average putts for 9 hole rounds and average putts for 18 hole rounds.
