My Balls Taking Less hits

  me too had 8 balls in a half hour down to last ball wtf!!!!!!

  I just finished counting the hits it took from time the new ball came into play, until it was taken out of play and it was exactly 216 hits.

  Putts don't count as a hit.  (Even my putts.) Woods, irons, & wedge shots only.

  And it would help if you said what ball you counted as the durability varies between balls.

  Putts must count because I was putting when the ball was removed. I started counting when the new ball came into play. I was playing the Volvik Crystal Balls (L51+), durability 2.5. It took 216 hits when this ball was taken out of play.

  No, putts don't count, the last shot you had to the green, used up the ball...so new one was inserted...or, your last putt with the ball was from the fringe, which counts (putting on the fringe) as a hit against your ball.
