    andyson:

Putts don't count as a hit.

Any putts, no matter if they start from rough, fairway, fringe, brush or fescue?

Can you verify that for me Andyson, please.

Putts on green do not count! So far those that have tested prove nothing has changed. Why do people still keep posting about this? Is there any proof of less ball life??

Any stroke taken off the green (rough, fringe, etc) counts as a hit against ball life.

So, if you use your putter off the green, then it will count as a hit.

I also think using wedges/etc on the green, count as hits as well, but I dunno, since I don't use irons on the green.

putts on the green never used to count - do they now?

only wgt knows the answer to that question, and I haven't really seen anyone from wgt answering anything apart from clear some caches.....

my lvl81 balls aren't lasting as long as it used to - I don't keep track but the general feeling over here is that theyre tampering with durability because they can.

only wgt knows.....and they don't say anything....

I say we march en masse to downtown Frisco, invade the headquarters, grab em by the collar, and make em fess up ... anyone else in?

I can only say what happened to me. My putt was 3.6 feet. I putt and ball goes into the cup. Message pops up (ball taken out of play). On the next tee I look and the hit meter is full white. that's where I started counting from. I can only say, at 216 hits this ball was taken out of play. I do not know how many hits you are supposed to get. I only know how many hits I counted.

Your next shot was from the tee!!! That is why it changed. 120 hits and adding your putts that is perfectly good. Nothing has changed with your balls.
