After over a week of the distance bug with irons, in which some people find that distance is intermittently pared back on a given shot, and others report that distance is intermittently added on a given shot, WGT announces NEW IRONS with improved accuracy.

I have nothing against making money or selling products.  I have a lot against theft.  This is theft, and it is unfortunately the modus operandi for WGT.  Look what they did with lies.  These updates are mainly for the purpose of introducing degradation of performance in various equipment vis-a-vis changing the game physics in a given way.  THEN they introduce a new product that has just the characteristics you need to overcome the changes in physics.

Sound like honest business practice?  It doesn't to me.

    hi

we have not edited any clubs performance. especially, decreasing current club's performance in order to introduce, new, better clubs. That would be quite low and something I am completely against.

in last, (I dont know of i an instance in the last few years though) some clubs were updated, like raptures, but that was to make them more precisee due to a bug, nothing else.

Note to self :     I am going to post some replays here that show how a 5 iron dinged comes up 15 yards short of its normal 195 yards.

Have just played 18 holes at Pinehurst in moderate wind, and found this happening on more than one occasion.

PH is a poor place to condemn iron yardages. The majority of landing areas where you would use a 5i are elevated right at the landing point of the iron. If you don't play the wind and roll right, 15 yds short is peanuts.

Ah yes. Niccolo Machiavelli, 1469 - 1527, of Florence. Not a bad dude. Actually, a good dude misunderstood in "The Prince" to the point that the word "Machiavellian" is conveniently used by left wing nut-jobs to describe what they are doing while pointing the finger at the adversary. Good eye there Yianny!  Travolta? The guy is an uneducated fool with a fortune made as a jester.  :-]
