Just wondering, the expense for WGT to use the top courses makes it understandable that they cant just go ahead and create more and more, but why cant they use some less famous ones. Surely these courses would snap WGT hands off, at probably half the cost of what Merion, Congress, RSG etc charge.....and we would all still be overjoyed at playing some damn good ones still.

For example Celtic Manor would surely charge less and there will be some great courses even cheaper than that......Must be loads of CAT C/D courses in the US that are still fantastic

Sorry, I'm unfamiliar with that description.   What are CAT C/D courses??

I also think a more obscure course would be fun as many of the *famous* courses have been done on different platforms.

We could be missing part of the business model, however, when wgt ignores such a suggestion.   I learned something when Brandon Dunes was released, but I probably won't find the source.  It was something along the lines: *B Dunes didn't want to pay the extra $ for a full (non par 3) 18 hole course*.   I was surprised the courses pay anything tbh.

I have resisted suggesting wgt sell its helicopter replacing it w/ a fleet of drones to save $/increase productivity.

Sorry Andy, meant category C and D. Against the top class Category A ones. Thats if the USPGA use that type of categorisation.

Or shall we say blooody good ones but not top wack ;-)

8buster8 is correct.  Look for the post by EasyEdward on this page.

I think all resort course pay WGT to get their name in front of "millions of golfers".  To the resort its an advertising expense.  I think the cost is such that most resorts opt for the CTTH route and that's why we have so many resort courses in CTTH.

A secondary reason for not having more resort courses on WGT is they don't have the yardage from the tips.  Players would be shooting in the 40s regularly.

All that said, there are still many resort courses that have the length especially if they host a tour event.  How do you sell them on paying for a full virtual course?

Would love to see some new courses. Or at least be able to play 9 on the CTTH courses.

I enjoyed this game when I first started playing, and to a point, all be it a small one, I still do. Belonging to a great CC helps.

Having said that, I'm bored. Just made Legend and thought, " This should make it interesting again ". To my dismay it hasn't.
