No offence, but you are completely wrong. I am software developer with almost 20 years of experience, last 10 yeras specializing on web technologies, so I think that I know, what am I talking about...
- No, WGT does not need Java, it uses only flash, which has native support in Chrome. And Chrome removed NPAPI plugins support (required by Java) in the september update, but this problem persist since at least march. So, it is not JAVA (or any other technology) based problem.
- I am using Chrome, Edge, IE and FF every day, I need it in my work. And it is not working in any of them, in their latest versions and in some older versions too. So, it is not browser based problem.
- Even when it would be some problem on the browser side, it is developer's duty to fix/modify his application so, that it works in all major browsers. There are millions of webapps, but only few browsers, they will never be modified because of bugs in web applications. Applications must be fixed...
- I think I know, whats wrong with this site, but cannot prove it without the access to source codes. But it is clearly problem in the WGT application...
But the biggest problem is, that WGT does not fix their application at all, it looks to me like they have dozens of salesmen and support members, but no developers. It looks to me like they are outsorcing all the development work, which means, that they have very limited chance to fix any bugs in their code. They simply sh*t on us, as said above, I've reported at least 3 major bugs, and they are still not fixed, they persist for years (and will persist for ever as it looks)...
