    The Nike scale version is a bug riddled piece of crap that's why.  I would think he would check it out again when they fix it

    Apparently they did fix it. Played AS match with another TL that had the original, got a refund and then was notified by WGT (e-mail) that they had fixed it so he bought it back. We played the back 9 at CBay and paid attention to what happened and he felt it was right.

    IMO the M1 has better balance, and you would notice that more if putting 100+ scale foot deep.  IMO it also has a tad more forgiveness on straight putts with the 15 scale.

    I agree and am finding something rather startling. As a devout ding putter, the M1 didn't do much better than the Versa. However, a combination of aiming and missing seems to have dramatically improved the results.

    Maybe it's the forgiveness, not sure, but in frustration I took a look at this old way I used to putt and am thinking I may be going back to it. Too, too many dinged putts miss for me and now  I'm  wonder if maybe WGT is combating auto dingers in this fashion. LOL. Hell of a time to be screwing around with the putting. Feeling like Tiger now.  :-D

    In the case of Mags and his L-94,

    The Nike scale version is a bug riddled piece of crap that's why.  I would think he would check it out again when they fix it (speaking for him without checking understand, LOL).

    At the end of the day no revelation is going to exist with one step up.  IMO the M1 has better balance, and you would notice that more if putting 100+ scale foot deep.  IMO it also has a tad more forgiveness on straight putts with the 15 scale.

    If you are happy to use shallow scales as default (100 being usual absolute max), and have an OK ADP and can putt a bit  it all adds up to a potential difference of about 1 putt every 15 x18 hole rounds, but it is a nice new toy:)

    And all very much JMNSHO :)

    Well Jim, as I am devoted to reading your posting for knowledge and fun, I have underlined the above for explaination for my humble mind ;-}

    I always take what you say seriously. It is for sure as personal as it gets. I had the Nike 94 for about 10,000 years and then, out of the blue tried the Versa 96 so as not to wait another year for the Nike 101. All my putts were smoother, straighter and less stressful. lol

    Especially on short fish hook putts the Versa for me seems to curve right in a lot more. Who knows what angels and demons rule this game, but when you find a putter that works, it's a great day and maybe a minor miracle.

    Having said that I might try the Nike 101 when I get to that level. Never thought for a moment I'd even get to TL, let alone have a halfway decent but not champion ave. in the 56 something range. Changing clubs and balls has indeed changed my game for the better. No coincidence that they are all the premium clubs. lol

    Thanks to all for the posts, it gives everyone a starting point.
