My humblest apologies.  It was in a fit of temper, a moment of anger, a whim of rage, when St Andrew and his valley of sin probably turned my 68 into a 72.  I just wanted to hit him, gouge his eyes out!  But I've calmed down now.  I've seen the light.  You're right, there is no place for violence on these great links, be it St Andrews or any other.

Please don't throw me into the dungeons.  I know I have wronged.  I have been to confession and was told to say 5 Hail Mary's which I have done.  And as I didn't reach the aforementioned windows, even though the intent was there, no damage was actually done.

I thank you in advance for your forgiveness.

Totally understandable.   Although St. Andrews is special, I have blown up a couple of holes on BPB including #15. :-)

The pic on 15 is fantastic.  The hole should be that big, and then I'd be happy with just a one-over-par for the hole... with the odd eagle thrown in here and there.

    craigswan:

It,s 18.45 here in st andrews and i have just popped round the corner and the clock reads 6.45 .

Well then Cragie lad, (you don't mind me calling you Cragie lad, do you?), either your clock is fast or St Andrews is slow as they can't both be 6:45 at different times.  Did you never read the story in your infancy years about the bloke who set all his 5 clocks the same, then put one each floor of his 5-storey house.  Then each day when he checked them, they showed different times.  Well, they would wouldn't they!  Time doesn't stand still for no one.  And I can vouch for that; I've aged a lifetime today!  Anyway, he got himself a watch and then checked each clock against that. And he lived happily ever after.

Maybe you should go tell St Andrews their clock is slow.

Just played St Andrews in a CC comp.  Hurricane winds, yet I was -8 after 12... and that was with a freebie ball too because I'd forgotten to change to another before the game!  Anyway, kept thinking, got to keep an eye out for the clock on 18.  Bogeys on 15 and 17, then into the valley of sin on 18, AND I FORGOT TO LOOK AT THE DAMN CLOCK!

Okay, it's okay, calm down.  Deep breath... and breath out.  Yeah, remember to breath out!

By the way, bogeyed 18 too!

Remembered to get clock pics today.  And, OMG!!!

View from the fairway for 2nd shot:

Ok, that was a waste of time!  Can't see the pic.  You'll have to take my word for it (I have a bigger version), the time is about 5:13pm.

Next pic from camera at the front of the green:

Again, you'll have to take my word for it, it's 5:02pm!  Time is going backwards!

I then played my shot.  Now before I put up this next pic you have to understand that I was totally put off playing the shot by this discovery.  Ok, excuse over, here's the pic:

It's 5:40pm!!!!  How long did it take me to play that shot!!!  Or is this more evidence of the paranormal???

Needless to say I was totally put off by this point and my putt went 53ft rather than the 19 it was meant to!  Did well not to 4-putt in the end.
